Leeds: Have you swapped any big food brands for value alternatives?

With food prices rising, are there any big brand items you’ve swapped for cheaper versions and how do you feel about the change?

00:04most probably, even though I could afford the more expensive stuff. I just never could see the point.

00:18but I hope it doesn't impact on animal welfare. Something I probably consciously try and do more

00:23than anything else is try and buy brands that don't have too many things added to them,

00:29and you can get that from a cheaper supermarket. Always shopping at Aldi now. I can't afford to be

00:34shopping anywhere else, so all Aldi-owned brands, all the coffees are good enough for me. I don't need

00:41any high-end brands, except from Heinz. Heinz is the only thing that I'll actually go for. My criteria

00:48for buying things is probably different from whether it tastes really, really good. Maybe it's

00:54more if it's got sort of more natural ingredients, and then you can add things yourself.
