00:00The Sea of Galilee was quiet under the bright morning sun, and around its shores the activities
00:20of a new day began. For those who made their living from its waters, the day's work had
00:26begun during the night. These were fishermen who cast their nets for the food that was
00:32needed by the people of the nearby towns and villages. Among such fishermen from the
00:37town of Capernaum was a small group consisting of two brothers, James and John, and Zebedee,
00:44their father. They had made a good living from the waters of Galilee for many years and were
00:50able to have men to help with the care and preparation of the nets and the handling of
00:53the boat. Close by were two other fishermen, Simon and Andrew, the sons of Jonah, who were
01:01also taking care of their nets. Don't worry, my son. We've had rough nights before when
01:07the wind blew the fish into deep water. Tonight will be better. I'll go ask Andrew if he knows.
01:16What did he say? He said he was going to talk to Andrew. About what? What does Andrew know
01:26that interests James so? I don't know what Andrew knows, Father. You don't, eh? Well, I think
01:32I do. It must be about that man you met in the south with the baptizer, the one they called
01:37Jesus. Perhaps so, Father. But you couldn't understand unless you two had met Jesus as we
01:43did. Oh, you haven't been the same since you came home from the south. You and your brother
01:48are fishermen, have been all your lives. I can't understand why you're interested in a
01:53carpenter from the hills of Nazareth. But, Father, you would understand if you'd met Jesus
01:59as we did. You should have been with us when we stayed with him and heard the wonderful things
02:05he taught us. We knew then that he was the Messiah. You know what happened in the temple in
02:12Jerusalem at their last Passover. Jesus did what others should have done long ago. We
02:18all know how the merchants and money changers had desecrated the temple. But it was Jesus
02:22who drove them out. And on our way home, he taught us another lesson. Instead of passing
02:43around Samaria, we passed right through it and made friends with the Samaritans. A certain
02:49woman accepted him as the Messiah. Just as we have, you too will accept him, Father, when you've
02:56heard him teach. But Andrew, could we not go and search for him? Patience, James. He will return and let us know what he wants us to do. I suppose you were right, but I would like to be with Jesus now. I know. I feel the same way too. But, I know. I feel the same way too. But, I know. I feel the same way too. But, I know. I know. I feel the same way too. But, I know. I know. I feel the same way too.
03:17But, Jesus will return from Nazareth and then we shall see. Yes, they would see. Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew would soon know what new work Jesus had for them. For even now, Jesus was returning to Capernaum and was seeking those very fishermen whom he had chosen a short time ago. Now the time had come to call these four fishermen to give up their daily work and follow him.
03:24Simon.

03:33Look.
03:34It is Jesus.
03:35It is Jesus.
03:36Jesus.
03:37Simon.
03:38Jesus.
03:39Simon.
03:40He is Jesus.
03:41He is the Lord.
03:42He created the wealth of Hidman and was seeking those of these very fishermen whom he had chosen a short time ago.
03:44Now the time had come to call these four fishermen to give up their daily work and follow him.
03:49Simon, look, it is Jesus.
04:02Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
04:27Look, there's a stranger talking to Simon and Andrew.
04:31It is Jesus.
04:32It is he.
04:33No doubt, this was the most important moment in the lives of these fishermen.
04:41Jesus was calling them to follow him, that he might make of them fishers of men.
04:51And thus, they left their nets, their boats, and their father, and followed Jesus of Nazareth,
04:59the Son of God, and the Savior of mankind.
05:04On the following Sabbath, Jesus took his newly chosen disciples to the synagogue at Capernaum,
05:24where he taught the people, and they were astonished at his teaching.
05:28For he taught them as one who had authority, and not as the scribes.
05:34Since this was early in Jesus' ministry, he had not gathered many followers,
05:40and the scribes and Pharisees had not paid too much attention to his teachings.
05:43This day, the people listened attentively to Jesus.
05:47But there was in the synagogue a man with an unclean spirit who cried out.
05:51What have you to do with us?
05:53Oh, Jesus of Nazareth.
05:55Have you come to destroy us?
06:11I know who you are, the Holy One of God.
06:16Be silent and come out of him.
06:41And at once, his fame spread everywhere.
07:11Throughout all the surrounding region of Galilee.
07:15After leaving the synagogue, Jesus and his disciples made their way to Peter's home,
07:20where they had been invited for the Sabbath meal.
07:33Welcome to our humble home, master and friends.
07:35I bid you to rest.
07:37Simon.
07:37Simon, Simon's mother is very sick.
07:41Sick?
07:42What is it?
07:43What is wrong with her?
07:43I'm afraid it's a burning fever.
07:45Come, we must do something.
07:51Lord, my mother-in-law lies ill with a burning fever.
07:54If you will, you can cure her.
08:28And when the fever had left her, she arose and went to serve them.
08:47And that evening, after the sun had set and the Sabbath had passed,
08:53they brought to him the sick and those possessed with demons.
08:57For all that day, the word had been passed from house to house
09:01until everyone knew what he had done that morning in the synagogue.
09:05Yes, that day, a door of hope had been opened to the people of Capernaum.
09:11Thus, in the quiet of the evening, he healed many who were sick with various diseases
09:16and cast out many demons.
09:17Yes, that day, a door of hope had been opened to the people of Capernaum.
09:38All this happened in fulfillment of what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah.
09:51He took our infirmities and bore our diseases.
09:52Indeed, his love and compassion knew no end.
09:58Where there was suffering, where there was sin, sickness, or death.
09:59Jesus was there to heal and comfort, and by his works and teachings, prove that he truly
10:00was the Son of God.
10:33All righty.
10:36And in the morning, a great while before it was day, he arose and went out to a lonely
10:37place, and there he prayed.
10:38Master, everyone is searching for you.
10:53Let us go on to the next town, that I may preach there also.
10:57so. For that is why I came. And thus Jesus went throughout the whole of Galilee teaching
11:12the word of God. And with him went the men who had left all to follow him, to become
11:19fishers of men.
11:27.
