We start off from a different time zone...
As West Indies.. will begin their three-match ODI series.. on Sunday.. in New Zealand...

But that will be tonight.. for us in the Caribbean.

And the West Indians will have a little more riding.. on having success in the ODI matches.

00:00After losing the T20 series to New Zealand, the Caribbean men don't have as much margins
00:05for error in their three-match ODI series, as points accumulation is vital to avoid missing
00:10out on yet another ODI World Cup.
00:12We didn't get to the last workup.
00:16Between then and now, we've made some changes and we've been playing decent cricket.
00:24We're trying to work on our consistency in all three departments.
00:28As you see, I think that our batting has really come leaps and bounds in the ODI format.
00:36We've managed to win a few series as well, managed to gain some points.
00:40So we moved two spaces at the table.
00:46So now we're looking forward to the series, obviously, and looking to do well.
00:51Once we win a couple games, then we can gain some more points going forward into that World
00:56Cup qualification.
00:57Despite losing the recent T20 series by a 3-1 margin, Floyd Riefer believes the result
01:02doesn't do justice to their overall performance.
01:05I thought we had a pretty decent T20 series.
01:10If you look at all the games, the games were very close.
01:12I thought the series could have gone either way.
01:14When we look back at it from our perspective, the first three games, I thought we were in
01:21a great way.
01:22We won the first game, but the two games after that, I thought we were in a great position
01:27to win the games.
01:28We were in both of those games, so it could have been easily true left to us.
01:33But all in all, I thought the guys played a good series.
01:36Tonight's ODI series bowls off in cold conditions in Christchurch, and the former Wendy's bassman
01:41pointed out their biggest adjustment in New Zealand.
01:44The core is not bothering us.
01:46The main thing for us is adapting to the time zones.
01:50We are 17 hours ahead of the Caribbean, so I think that was a major challenge for us in
01:56terms of adapting, getting enough sleep, getting your sleep pattern right, and then you still
02:00got to get up and train, you still got to get up and play.
02:03So that was the main challenge for us in terms of adapting to the conditions.
