00:00As a professional food stylist, these are the two ways to cut corn.
00:03Average ear of corn has 800 kernels. If you're having to do a lot of corn,
00:06this is the only way to do it. Base the corn onto the top of your inverted bowl.
00:10Take your knife. We're just going to push down. One of the popular things to do,
00:14non-sharp edge of our knife. We're just going to drag it down, getting all that corny goodness.
00:19This method is how we're going to optimize being able to use every part of this corn.
00:23Keep these around and make a really delicious corn stalk. When you don't really need these
00:27kernels to be connected at all, you actually want them to be separate. Something like esquetes,
00:32that's a really cool method. I'm going to show you another method that we use if you want to make it
00:36look real pretty. Just going to take my knife and just with one nice push, slicing it off. As you can
00:40see, we're left with almost a completely intact chunk of the cob. Just roll it. Now you got a nice flat
00:45base. Just doing the same thing onto all the sides. Anytime I'm using corn in a salad, I love this
00:51method so that you're not having to search for individual little pieces. Also visually, it really
00:56reads better.
