Residents of Sultanville in Rousillac should see an improvement in their water supply in under two months.
This after a promise was made by the Water and Sewerage Authority for the installation of a larger distribution pipeline.

00:10clyde elder told several areas in south trinidad on august 9th including rosalak and arine elder
00:17said bringing relief to the people in some of the underserved communities is important that's the
00:23purpose of this meeting here and this visit here today we are here to make sure that the people of
00:31labry get a relief not just in water supply but in a standard of living because as you know water is
00:39life there are areas that we need to visit to ensure that we bring some quick relief and there's some
00:47areas that it will take a little longer time to bring some relief the tour began in rosalak and
00:51among the places visited were farm road and sultanville a resident of sultanville spoke to
00:58the water difficulties villagers there are experiencing to which elder relayed a promise
01:03made by wasa sometimes we just get that we don't get water to it i'm not going to get water yeah yeah
01:09we have a fat line you'll get better water well that's what i'm trying to know i you know so we
01:14are here to tell you that in six weeks time we're going to bring our fat line here dance so i can get
01:19water okay i get a better salary for you and your husband and your whole household yeah that's very
01:25nice thanks okay that's a promise i said that's a promise that's a promise that's a promise that
01:32wasa gives to you wasa is further stated that it will collaborate with the superior regional corporation
01:38regarding the road infrastructure necessary to undertake the farm road pipeline project wasa
01:45also announced plans for other areas including chatham chatham water treatment plant is our major
01:52source within the southwest district right it's designed for 3 million it's doing about 50 capacity
01:58presently we are drilling chatham 15 that is expected to come and stream before the end of this
02:03month and that would add an additional over slightly over 300 and um thousand there about to the
02:09chatham water treatment plant wasa says apart from saving chatham water from that plant is sent to the
02:15cap deville booster station which serves some areas in palo seco as well as communities beyond a temporary
02:23pipeline project has also been promised for james street in palo seco where residents claim they have
02:29not been receiving water for years it is expected to begin within three months time meanwhile counselor for
02:36erine aline ramday expressed gratitude to wasa for what she said was an improvement in the supply for
02:42her constituents people have been saying how the water is more efficient they have more efficient
02:49another 24 hour but they have enough water to fill their tanks and so forth and still have the overflow
02:57and there was more good news as wasa is undertaking works to develop three new production wells
03:02that would boost production at the water treatment plant in erine by approximately 500 000 gallons per day
