00:13The Manchurian Candidate is the name of a political thriller movie
00:17based on the 1959 novel of the same name by Richard Condon.
00:22It's about the son of a prominent U.S. political family
00:26who has been brainwashed into being an unwitting assassin
00:29for the Communist Party.
00:32But is it possible to brainwash or program someone to kill?
00:37Are some secret intelligence organizations using mind control
00:42to turn unwitting participants into patsies, spies, and assassins?

00:52but that Manchurian candidates have been created

01:52behind some of the most famous assassins and trigger men in history.

01:59Of course, we refer to the programmed assassin now
02:02as Manchurian Candidates, which comes from the 1959 book
02:06by Richard Condon and the subsequent movie in 1962.
02:10How did Condon know about this stuff?
02:12Well, it makes you wonder if he had high-level friends or not
02:16because he predicted, I mean, after this novel came out
02:19and then the movie came out, everyone thought that he had
02:21inside information that he must have because the parallels
02:23were so obvious.
02:25For example, he predicted that in the movie,
02:26the plot of the movie is that an American soldier
02:28would go behind enemy lines in a communist country
02:31and be programmed through mind control,
02:34return to the United States,
02:36and kill an American president
02:37who was deemed soft on communism.
02:45The details of the plot
02:47and the specifics of Manchuria
02:49are actually in CIA documents
02:51five years before the book came out.
02:53Richard Condon's novel, The Manchurian Candidate,
03:03based on your experience, your research,
03:05how accurate is that?
03:07Well, supposedly it's a work of fiction,
03:09but the most interesting fact about it is
03:11prior to the movie and the book being released
03:14late 50s, early 60s,
03:16more in about the 1954 time frame,
03:19there's an internal CIA memo
03:21from one officer to another
03:22basically lining out the plot.
03:27And so these two people are concerned
03:29that a group of GIs
03:30were going through a zone in Manchuria,
03:33were captured by communist Chinese
03:35and subjected to some sort of interrogation,
03:38mind control, brainwashing,
03:40and have amnesia for a period of time in Manchuria.
03:42What is a Manchurian candidate?
03:45In short, a Manchurian candidate
03:47is a military programmed assassin
03:49whose brain has been partitioned
03:51like a computer
03:52in such a way that he can act
03:55and after his actions,
03:56he can forget and not know what he did.
04:03There was a memo from the 1950s
04:06where the CIA had proposed
04:07taking a defector
04:09and brainwashing him
04:10into committing an unwitting assassination
04:13against an American official
04:14if necessary.
04:16And then this assassin
04:17would be disposed of
04:18while in police custody
04:19following the crime.
04:21And that turns out
04:21is exactly what happened
04:22to Lee Harvey Oswald
04:23when he killed an American official
04:25named John F. Kennedy
04:26and was disposed of
04:27in front of the entire world
04:28in the basement of the Dallas City Jail
04:30the next day.
04:32What was the CIA's interest
04:34in killing JFK
04:36and having Johnson take over?
04:40What was their motivation
04:41for carrying that out?
04:43If they wanted to assassinate
04:45a public figure
04:46why wouldn't it have been
04:47Nikita Khrushchev?
04:53Is it possible they thought
04:55Kennedy was too soft on Cuba?
04:57Given that he's generally considered
04:59to have won
05:00the Cuban Missile Crisis
05:02I don't see how.
05:04If you have such an excellent
05:06assassination technique
05:07why did we then have
05:09the Bay of Pigs?

05:27he's headed to the free world.

05:31was taken out
05:32and assassinated
05:33with a second gunman
05:34and a clone
05:35a double
05:36was put in his place.
05:37So Manchurian candidates
05:38can be used
05:39not only for assassins
05:40but to be politicians
05:41and stand in
05:42for politicians
05:43and their doubles.

06:07is an artificially created
06:08multiple personality

06:16So the out front person
06:18has no knowledge
06:18of the assignment
06:19or the activity
06:20of the implanted personality
06:22who's controlled
06:23by a handler.

06:25for this book
06:25I did a whole study
06:26on brain implants
06:27and I mean
06:27this has been published
06:28for decades
06:28and they've been using
06:29brain implants
06:30for various medical reasons
06:31so there's no reason
06:32why they couldn't
06:32also use it
06:33for nefarious purposes
06:34as well
06:34to create some kind
06:35of a state
06:36that would allow people
06:37to be more susceptible
06:37to hypnosis
06:38or drugs
06:40or combinations thereof.
06:42Where did the CIA
06:42learn how to do this?
06:44The CIA learned this
06:45from a series of projects
06:47and a series of experts.
06:49One of the leading ones
06:50is George G.H. Estabrooks
06:51and he has I guess
06:54from 1943 to 1971
06:57a series of publications
06:58including a well-known textbook
07:00on hypnotism.
07:02He wrote many books
07:03on the subject
07:03and articles
07:04and actually described
07:05creating concentric
07:07personality structures
07:08in soldiers
07:09and people.
07:10One of the personalities
07:12would be a rabidly
07:13pro-communist personality
07:15that would be used
07:16to infiltrate
07:17suspected pro-communist groups
07:19or groups that the CIA
07:20wanted to discredit.
07:21Research involved
07:22using test guinea pigs

07:27LSD and other drugs
07:28and other sensory

08:13going to participate in
08:14or you have the opportunity

08:15for a program

08:17there's some degree
08:18of consent
08:19kind of up front
08:20but they don't really
08:21know what they're
08:21getting into
08:22and then once
08:23they're conditioned
08:24they have amnesia
08:25for all of the conditioning.
08:26MKUltra is
08:27kind of the umbrella term
08:28used for decades
08:29of CIA experiments
08:31on American citizens
08:32and even
08:33in the international community
08:35they explored
08:36every avenue
08:37known to man
08:37that could potentially
08:38control
08:39human behavior.
08:40Obviously
08:41you have to have
08:41control of the person
08:42there's hypnosis
08:44interrogation procedures
08:45sensory deprivation
08:47and isolation
08:47aftershock
08:48LSD
08:50all kinds of drugs
08:51hypnosis
08:51etc.
08:52anything that could be used
08:53to control people
08:54and control behavior
08:55and I believe
08:57that the operation
08:58went
08:59or that the program

09:01and is being used
09:02throughout the world.
09:03MKUltra is certainly
09:04going to this day
09:05and the recent
09:06assassination
09:07in Arizona
09:09was done
09:10by a Manchurian candidate.

09:13released from CIA
09:14on MKUltra
09:15certainly they were
09:16experimenting with it.
09:18Is it possible
09:19they're lying
09:19about their complete
09:20and utter lack
09:21of success
09:21with MKUltra?

09:23but why would it
09:25benefit them
09:26to claim
09:27an utter failure
09:28and shut down
09:28the program
09:29if it had been working?
09:30The CIA director
09:31at the time
09:32I believe it was Woolsey
09:33testified that
09:34MKUltra
09:35had been shut down.
09:36Do you believe
09:37that was the case?
09:39MKUltra is used
09:41in two senses.
09:42There's the actual
09:42specific project
09:44MKUltra
09:44that ran from
09:461954 to 1963
09:47and then was shut down
09:49and then it in turn
09:50was rolled over
09:51into MKSearch
09:52which ran until 1972
09:54and MKUltra
09:56was preceded
09:57by Bluebird
09:58and Artichoke
09:59so there's a series
09:59of documented programs.
10:01The documents I read
10:02again public information
10:03they outlined
10:05several goals.
10:06One is to remove
10:09any moral compunction
10:10to killing another
10:10human being
10:11and that failed miserably.
10:13Another was to
10:15make soldiers
10:16or operatives
10:16almost suicidally brave
10:18and while the former
10:19succeeded
10:20the latter didn't.
10:21I can't say
10:22that they succeeded
10:22in either goal
10:23if they had
10:24the information
10:24wouldn't be public
10:25and the program
10:26might still be continuing.
10:27When Congress
10:29started to investigate it
10:30they claimed that
10:30they had never actually
10:31made any progress
10:31and that they were
10:33they had actually
10:34destroyed all the documents
10:35that we don't really know.
10:36Since then you've had
10:37a change of heart
10:38in American politics
10:39and in the intelligence
10:40community both
10:41and it's
10:42whether you attribute
10:44that to morals
10:45or just a complete
10:46lack of viability
10:47it seems to have been
10:49completely shut down.
10:51The whole purpose
10:52of the Manchurian candidate
10:53is not to get them
10:55to do something
10:55it's so that they have
10:57amnesia
10:57so that the person
10:58is resistant to
10:59interrogation

11:01a very convincing
11:02sober.

11:07techniques
11:08could be used
11:09on an unwilling

11:12objectives

11:22to another agent

11:39act as mules

11:46act as intelligence

11:48intelligence agents

11:50Recruitment of subjects
11:51or assassinations
11:52or any other

11:55recruit a soldier
11:56recruit any civilian
11:58put them through

11:59and get them to go
12:00shoot the enemy
12:01infiltrate, penetrate.
12:03None of these things
12:04are amazing
12:04or different from normal.
12:06The whole purpose
12:07of the Manchurian candidate
12:08is not to get them
12:09to do something.
12:10It's all about
12:10the amnesia.
12:11Creating the amnesia
12:12so that the person
12:13is resistant
12:14to interrogation
12:15and can be
12:16a very convincing
12:17sleeper.

12:19what the situation
12:20is about.
12:20Nobody has told me

12:22that I'm accused
12:23of murdering

12:48that he may have been

12:54shows that he once again
12:56had military associations
12:58through his family
12:59and was mind-controlled
13:01and set up
13:03as an assassin of Lennon.
13:04Mark David Chapman
13:05fits the profile
13:06a little bit
13:07in that he did travel
13:09around extensively.
13:10He was in Beirut
13:11and other locations.
13:12Whether that was
13:13under just normal
13:15conventional civilian
13:16kind of framework
13:19or that was all cover
13:20for training abroad.
13:22What about the Unabomber,
13:23Ted Kaczynski?
13:24Any evidence
13:25that he may have been
13:26a programmed killer?
13:28Oh, the D.C. snipers,
13:30Kaczynski,
13:31all the John Doe 1 and 2s,
13:34McVeigh at Oklahoma,
13:36they're all come out
13:37of the same cut
13:38from the same cloth.
13:39They're all part
13:40of Tavistock's
13:41MKUltra
13:42military assassination program.
13:45Is there a triggering mechanism
13:46like in the movie
13:47The Manchurian Candidate,
13:48the phone rings
13:49and someone on the other line
13:51says,
13:51why not pass the time
13:52with a little solitaire?
13:54Or is that
13:54a Hollywood depiction?
13:55The triggering mechanisms
13:57are described
13:57in great detail
13:59in the CIA documents.
14:00It can include
14:01verbal instructions,
14:03tones or signals
14:04over the phone,
14:05hand signals.
14:06Really, there's no limit
14:08to the type of signal
14:09that can be used.
14:10So, yes,
14:10there are definitely triggers
14:11and depending on
14:12how good the hypnotist is
14:13and how willing
14:14the subject is
14:15that they can definitely
14:16bring them in and out
14:17of the hypnotic state
14:18without anyone knowing.
14:19Following the assassination
14:21of John Lennon,
14:22he basically stood there,
14:24waited for the police.
14:25He had the well-thumbed copy
14:28of Catcher in the Rye
14:29in his hip pocket.
14:30His behavior seems rather
14:32almost robotic,
14:33which would tend to suggest
14:35some sort of mind control.
14:36The Catcher in the Rye,
14:38I've heard that popular theory
14:40before, you know,
14:40the Book of Assassins.
14:42Hinkley was carrying
14:44a copy as well.
14:46Whether Hinkley was
14:48emulating Chapman
14:49or whether it's coincidence,
14:52I still can't credit that
14:53with brainwashing.
14:55You will assassinate
14:55this figure and,
14:56by the way,
14:57buy yourself a copy
14:58of Catcher in the Rye.
14:58Why would anyone
15:01institute that program?
15:02But what about these cases
15:03of mass shootings,
15:06mass murderers,
15:08like the Virginia Tech shooter?
15:10Are they displaying
15:12the symptoms
15:14of a mind control victim?
15:16When we have a mass shooting,
15:17such as Fort Hood
15:19or at Virginia Tech,
15:21I would follow
15:22the same procedure.
15:23OK, this may be
15:25just a lone nut.
15:26This may be some sort
15:27of political group
15:28or agitated group
15:30of some kind
15:31with no mind control.
15:32Or this could be
15:33a Manchurian candidate.
15:34If he were
15:35a Manchurian candidate
15:36programmed by
15:38an intelligence group,
15:40what would be the motive?
15:41Why would they be targeting
15:42innocent civilians?
15:44The first thing
15:44I would want to do,
15:46which I did,
15:46was get the names
15:47of all the victims,
15:48all the professors,
15:49and then look at
15:50what kind of research
15:51they were involved in,
15:52what was their background?
15:54Were any of them
15:54military contractors?
15:56Were any of them
15:57political radicals?
15:59So could one of them
16:00be a target
16:01and the rest
16:01is collateral damage?
16:03Or some sort of
16:05stirring up unrest
16:07and fear
16:07to promote either
16:08the war on terror
16:09or greater control
16:11of the populace
16:11by the government?
16:12Create commotion
16:14as a way of keeping control.
16:16And so they're attacking
16:17the nation states
16:18with assassins and terrorism
16:20as a way of strengthening
16:22their power.
16:23I think a simpler explanation
16:25would be mental illness.
16:27I would credit that
16:28before brainwashing.
16:30Clearly, you cannot be
16:32a well-adjusted member
16:34of a society
16:35and assassinate
16:39a political figure.
16:39when Oswald was interviewed
16:45before he was shot
16:46obviously,
16:47and Sirhan Sirhan
16:47both either claimed
16:49to have no knowledge
16:50or no memory.
16:52Sirhan didn't deny
16:52that he perhaps
16:54shot Bobby,
16:55but claimed he had
16:56no memory
16:57of the incident.
17:00They seemed to be
17:01genuine on the surface.
17:02We will always have
17:05sociopaths
17:06or simply the mentally ill,
17:08some of whom are violent.
17:10That doesn't strike me
17:12as brainwashing.
17:13That strikes me
17:13as someone who's
17:14completely unaware
17:15of consequences.
17:16I think a simpler explanation
17:18would be mental illness.
17:19I would credit that
17:20before brainwashing.
17:22Clearly, you cannot be
17:24a well-adjusted member
17:27of a society
17:28and assassinate
17:31a political figure.
17:32Well, the ordinary person,
17:34Richard, is taught
17:35to believe that history
17:36happens by accident.
17:37But the upper echelons
17:39know that history
17:39is planned.
17:41As researchers,
17:42we examine and talk
17:43from court documents.
17:45We don't give
17:45our own opinion.
17:47And there's so many
17:49documents available
17:50on the Internet
17:51that allow people
17:53to see what was
17:54really going on.
17:55All they have to do
17:56is scratch the surface
17:57and go after them.
17:58I don't know
17:59if you've heard
17:59of Operation Mockingbird,
18:00which was the CIA's
18:01program to infiltrate
18:02the mass media
18:03to plant disinformation
18:05and discredit
18:06conspiracy theorists
18:06about its own operations,
18:08et cetera.
18:09And they actually mention
18:10in the documents,
18:11this came out in the 1970s
18:12when, along with
18:13the MKUltra experimentation,
18:15that the CIA
18:16had heavily infiltrated
18:17all the major news organizations
18:19in the U.S.
18:20and internationally,
18:21and that they had
18:22actually mentioned
18:23conspiracy theorists
18:24around JFK assassination
18:26that should be discredited
18:28because they could be
18:29helpful to the enemy,
18:30so to speak.
18:31With normal military training,
18:33you can get somebody
18:33to do just about anything,
18:35including atrocities
18:36and killing civilians
18:37and so on.
18:38And if you add on
18:40hypnosis and venture
18:41and candidate procedures,
18:42you can get anybody
18:44who's a good subject
18:45to do just about anything
18:46and not remember it.
18:48There's no doubt about this.
18:49It's well established.
18:50In his book,
18:52The Perfect Assassin,
18:54physicist and researcher
18:55Jerry Leonard
18:56exposes the curious parallels
18:58between a proposed
19:00CIA experiment
19:01in mind control
19:02and the events
19:03surrounding the murder
19:04of JFK.
19:05Project MKUltra
19:07was a codename
19:08for a covert CIA
19:09mind control
19:10and chemical interrogation
19:12research program
19:13run by the Office
19:14of Scientific Intelligence
19:15that began in the early 50s
19:17and continued until at least
19:19the late 1960s.
19:21There is much published evidence
19:23that the project involved
19:25the surreptitious use
19:26of many types of drugs
19:28as well as other methodologies
19:29to manipulate individual
19:31mental states
19:32and to alter brain functions.
19:34So, is it possible
19:37assassins such as
19:38Oswald,
19:39Sirhan Sirhan,
19:40John Hinckley
19:40or Mark David Chapman
19:42were programmed?

19:46a programmed assassin

20:04that men can be made
