00:01Previously on Project Runway...
00:04You want to create a high fashion look inspired by warrior women.
00:10Ayanna really stepped it up for this challenge.
00:13Brandon is definitely my biggest competition.
00:16No good.
00:17Is it too Wonder Woman costumey?
00:20I think you're right on the precipice.
00:23Any tiny little mistake can send you home.
00:30We have too many good options today.
00:33Brandon, congratulations.
00:34You are the winner of this challenge.
00:37What is that?
00:38I had great hopes for you.
00:39It feels more clubby than armor.
00:42Margarita, I'm sorry you're out.
00:45I really wanted to show at Fashion Week.
00:48Thank you for all your support.
00:50You're not going anywhere.
00:52I'm using my Tim Gunn save.
00:54The famous Tim Gunn save for Margarita.
00:57I'm glad I'm still here.
01:14So you got the Tim Gunn save.
01:16You got the save.
01:17I've never seen one up close in personal.
01:19I'm back.
01:20Not going anywhere.
01:21I mean, I'm just thankful, honestly, to get another shot.
01:24I cannot waste this opportunity.
01:27This is the last challenge.
01:29It's the last one before Fashion Week.
01:31We have a good shot.
01:33We have a good chance at this.
01:34If I lose this challenge, you know, it's the end of my dream.
01:39Oh, sparkly.
01:49Hello, designers.
01:50Hello.
01:51Hello.
01:52And welcome back, Margarita, to the competition.
01:54Thank you so much.
01:55This challenge will determine who will go to New York Spring Summer Fashion Week.
02:00Oh, my gosh.
02:01And you know what comes before spring.
02:04Mm-hmm.
02:05Winter.
02:08Down comes the snow.
02:14And it's snowing.
02:15And I'm thinking, what in the hell is going on?
02:17Oh, my gosh.
02:18Catch one with your tongue.
02:19I don't know that I want to, Heidi.
02:21I love the snow.
02:24I'm thinking, are we going on vacation to, like, isolate us?
02:30Designers, your final challenge is to create a high fashion winter look that any fashionista
02:36would be thrilled to wear on a cold winter day.
02:39And we're not talking about a simple snow suit, okay?
02:42No.
02:43Snow ways, snow how.
02:45We want high fashion, as always.
02:47Use this challenge to really show us that you deserve to be at the finale of Project Runway.
02:52Because only four of you will move forward to New York Fashion Week.
02:56You will have two days for this challenge and a budget of $400.
03:01Yes.
03:02Whoa.
03:03We want you to be ambitious.
03:04Okay.
03:05Got it.
03:06Okay.
03:07Now, in order to get you into a winter mindset, you're going to experience an ice-cold setting
03:14to sketch in.
03:15Oh, my word.
03:16And I mean ice-cold.
03:19Are we going to go to, like, a meatpacking place?
03:22Are we going to be in a freezer with, like, meat?
03:25What is about to happen?
03:26Designers, you and I are heading off to the coldest place in Manhattan.
03:29Oh, my gosh.
03:30Don't forget to bundle up, designers.
03:32And I see you back here on the runway.
03:34Follow me.
03:35Okay.
03:36This way.
03:37Oh, my God.
03:38It is.
03:39That's right.
03:40Oh, my God.
03:41We arrive at the minus five ice bar, and I'm just like, the Puerto Rican's going to freeze
03:50to death, everybody.
03:51Okay.
03:52Cool.
03:53Designers, I told you that we were going to the coldest place in Manhattan, and that's exactly
03:56where we are, the minus five ice bar.
03:59It's well below freezing, and the entire interior is created out of carved ice.
04:05So, I don't want anyone to get frostbite.
04:07I want you to suit up.
04:12Oh, my gosh.
04:13Okay, it's very cold.
04:15It's cold.
04:16Oh, my gosh.
04:17My chair.
04:18How'd they know I was coming?
04:20It's literally ice.
04:21It's kind of cool, because everything in there is made out of ice.
04:26My model is Sonita.
04:29I haven't had her yet.
04:31She's very slim, but she's kind of straight, so I want to create the coat to be kind of
04:36straight, and I know that I want a nice asymmetrical color blocking, so I want there to be a slash
04:41through it, and I wanted to leave a very lasting impression on the judges.
04:45Just thinking of this winter coat and canvassy top with faux fur lining, it looks luxe, and
04:51it looks high fashion.
04:53Hello, Misha.
04:54My model is Misha.
04:55She is my favorite model.
04:57My look is sort of like winter New York City safari.
05:01I kind of wanted to give a lot of detail and shape, so I was kind of thinking of Misha,
05:07what she would wear, because Misha knows how to make anything look beautiful.
05:11Beautiful Lyris.
05:12I'm going to make a power outfit for Lyris.
05:16She's super executive.
05:18She wants to look hot.
05:20You know, she likes color.
05:21Jasmine is my model.
05:23I'm super excited to work with her.
05:25My plan for this challenge is to make a really, really awesome coat.
05:31Full collar, full sleeve, front buttons, snaps, waist high.
05:35I mean, we're going all in for this jacket and then a really nice blouse and pants to go along with it.
05:41All right, designers.
05:42If you're capable of movement, let's head off to move.
05:45Oh, my God.
05:46My schedule is proof.
05:47Whew.
05:51All right, designers.
05:52You have the biggest budget you've had all season.
05:54You have $400 and you have 30 minutes to shop.
05:57All right, your time starts right now.
06:01For this challenge, I want to get some light beige.
06:05Anyone ready to cut my fabric?
06:07I think it's natural for me to gravitate towards natural color.
06:11Oh, I have a good taste.
06:14Designers, you have 15 minutes remaining.
06:18The bottom is black.
06:19The top is, do you have anything in like a neon?
06:21I always like to start with the most impactful part of my look, which is the coat.
06:24It's a winter look.
06:25I want the coat to be the highlight.
06:26This is pretty.
06:27I want to look in the wool departments to find a really nice print.
06:31Like this.
06:32It's so striking, isn't it?
06:33It's beautiful.
06:34Designers, you have five minutes remaining.
06:37Five minutes, everyone.
06:39Oh, I'm sorry.
06:40Sorry.
06:41How much are these?
06:42These are 45.
06:43I'm kind of wanting something like rabbit or deer.
06:47But it all starts with that badass fur.
06:50Can't wait.
06:51All right, designers.
06:52Time is up.
06:53No more shopping.
06:54Please be here at the checkout counter.
06:57With the mean, how much?
06:58Did anyone purchase fur?
07:00We are a fur-free show.
07:02I pretty much blew a quarter of my budget on rabbit fur.
07:08If I would have known this, I would have totally bought something else.
07:13I would have gone with a whole different concept.
07:15It's fine.
07:16We'll make it work.
07:17I don't know.
07:18It's just...
07:21It's frustrating.
07:24Coming up on Project Runway.
07:26I think it looks rich.
07:27There's so much going on.
07:28I know.
07:29This looks like a kindergarten project.
07:32This is heaven.
07:34It's very beautiful.
07:35I think this is the chicest snow woman I have ever seen.
07:38It's very pleasing to the eye.
07:40It's a bit costumey, childish.
07:43It doesn't all sit together.
07:49All right, designers.
07:50Before we head back to the workroom, I feel very culpable about one particular thing.
07:55The fact that I did not declare that we are a fur-free show.
07:59And Margarita didn't know.
08:01I would like to give Margarita five minutes to replace that resource.
08:08And designers, would any of you object?
08:12Things happen.
08:13And I feel like five extra minutes, you know, she deserves them.
08:17Why don't you do it right now?
08:18That's fine.
08:19Go, go, go.
08:20Thanks, guys.
08:21Go, go, go, go, go, go, go.
08:22All right.
08:23Thank you all.
08:24I grab this faux fur that I guess I'm gonna have to use instead.
08:27You know, at this point, I'm just like, this is not a good start to the challenge.
08:31Thank you again.
08:32Thank you, everybody.
08:33All right, everyone.
08:34Let's head back to the workroom.
08:35Thank you, Lou.
08:37Bye.
08:44The games begin.
08:45Our final talent before fashion week is to create a high fashion winter look that a fashionista
08:51will want to wear on any winter day.
08:53Do I hate it?
08:54Do I love it?
08:55Nobody knows.
08:56I love this so much.
08:58Yeah.
08:59So, you have two days for this challenge.
09:02You need to be ambitious, all right?
09:04You have until 1030 tonight, and we're going to have critiques on the earlier side tomorrow.
09:10And later tomorrow, you will have model fittings.
09:13Okay.
09:14Okay.
09:15All right, everyone.
09:16I'll see you tomorrow.
09:19Bye.
09:20My game plan is to start out with the coach.
09:22I really want to wow on the runway, and I want to take a little risk with this one.
09:26I did get paint because I was thinking I will add paint afterwards.
09:29Okay.
09:30Let's see.
09:31There are a lot of elements working together, and I just hope that I don't hurt myself by
09:35using too many elements.
09:36Oh, beautiful.
09:37Super looks.
09:38This is the very last challenge before New York Fashion Week.
09:42I just need to, like, calm down and get out of my own way in this challenge and just really
09:47do something really awesome.
09:49This jacket is going to be so heavy.
09:51It's going to be dope, though.
09:52Coolest piece probably I've ever tried to make, a wax cotton used as the outer shell.
09:57I thought this was kind of the perfect way to kind of incorporate a de-stressed look in
10:01any kind of fold or crumple it gets.
10:03It leaves a line.
10:04I just have this vision right away, and to see it come to life is beautiful.
10:08You know, I'm worried because the concept that I came up with versus what I'm making now
10:14is kind of like a reversion of it.
10:16All right, guys and girls, that's time.
10:19Honestly, I do not give up.
10:21No matter how hard it gets, like, you know, I don't quit, and this is no exception.
10:29Okay, let's do it.
10:38Last day.
10:45Hi, Tim.
10:46Hi.
10:47How is everyone?
10:48Okay, good.
10:49Okay.
10:50Such enthusiasm.
10:51Yes.
10:52Well, I'm here to check in with you, and I'm eager to see what you're doing.
10:55Okay?
10:56Hi, Kentaro.
10:57Hi, Tim.
10:58Tell me what you're doing.
10:59This is a wrap jacket.
11:00So there's a tie inside here, and I'm thinking to have inside a lavender turtleneck, but I
11:06put this yellow.
11:07I tried to force myself to use color, but at this point, I think it's more important,
11:12like, I showcase, like, who I am as a designer.
11:15I mean, I'm just thinking about having you execute the turtleneck in this.
11:21Mm-hmm.
11:22Yeah, this is actually...
11:23Then you really own the whole thing.
11:25Yeah.
11:26This is owning a neutral palette.
11:27I'm afraid they wanna say, like, Kentaro, no color.
11:30I think it looks rich.
11:32I think so, too.
11:33All right, Kentaro.
11:34Okay.
11:35Carry on.
11:36Okay, thank you so much.
11:38Well, Kenya, you've done a lot.
11:39Well, I was thinking about what would I wear.
11:42Good.
11:43Project yourself into it.
11:44And I saw this print, and it just jumped out at me.
11:47So is it a coat dress?
11:49No, it's gonna be a coat.
11:50I'm making her a top and a pair of pants, too.
11:53Out of what?
11:54I was gonna do a top out of this.
11:56Yeah.
11:58I was thinking to give it, like, some, just some space under it, so, like, she's able
12:02to, like, move freely.
12:04I think she's gonna look right now.
12:06But at this juncture, it's all in the details.
12:10The judges are going to be asking each other, what are we going to get from a collection from Kenya?
12:16It's so much on the table, but then you try not to overthink it.
12:20It's, it's difficult.
12:22I just need to calm down and produce something great that I know that I can.
12:27Hi, Tim.
12:28Hi, Brandon.
12:29I'm eager to hear what you're doing.
12:31So I'm very excited about this challenge.
12:33Growing up in Utah, we had a very frigid winter, so I really wanted to put a lot of detail
12:39and then think about a coat that, you know, I would dream to have.
12:42And so I really like working with materials that can be manipulated.
12:47Just trying to decide if I want to do anything with the collar or if I want to, like, possibly
12:51you know, bring, like, a hood onto it or leave it simple.
12:57So, I was expecting to have to tell you to push it more, go further.
13:05You have.
13:08You really have.
13:09You've exceeded my expectations, which are the very highest.
13:14Ayana, hi.
13:15What are you up to?
13:16Hi, Tim.
13:17Talk to me.
13:18I wanted something very bright.
13:20But at the same time, I brought paint to kind of paint down that bright color.
13:23Oh.
13:24It's an asymmetrical pea coat.
13:26The line was intended to be harsh, but I wanted something kind of on top of it to kind
13:30of blend the two together.
13:32I was thinking maybe splatters.
13:34You mean paint it?
13:35Yeah.
13:36This has a clean 60s vibe right now.
13:38Okay.
13:39Are you trying to get rid of that vibe?
13:41I want it to feel a little bit more modern.
13:44So, there's also one other thing that happens.
13:47What else happens?
13:48But you look scared.
14:01There's so much going on.
14:03I know.
14:04I feel like I'm maybe trying a little too hard.
14:07I was like, you know, last challenge before Fashion Week, it has to be big, it has to be
14:11amazing.
14:12And I don't know, I feel like the pressure is starting to get to me.
14:15And I know that it's showing in my work.
14:18Coming up on Project Runway.
14:22That doesn't give me confidence.
14:25You have to think fast.
14:27It's Tippi Hedren and the birds.
14:28You have to make it happen.
14:29It looks like a throwaway.
14:35This experiment looks like a kindergarten project.
14:41You have some of the pink down there.
14:43Oh, yeah.
14:44Yeah, I have more.
14:45I wish you would do an experiment.
14:47I know what you're saying.
14:48I'd just like to see it.
14:49Okay.
14:50It's gonna be cray cray.
14:51Kind of Jackson Pollock-y.
14:55I really have only a positive response.
14:58That's a nice effect.
15:00Beautifully handled.
15:02Yes.
15:04Thank you, too.
15:05So how is Margarita?
15:07Um, I'm okay.
15:10That doesn't give me confidence.
15:12I came up with a long-sleeve.
15:16Oh, I see.
15:17And this is my faux.
15:20This is gonna go on the sleeves of this dress.
15:23Right here.
15:24Just from the elbow down.
15:26Let me ask you this.
15:27How do you feel about this dress?
15:29It's not chic.
15:30It's Tippi Hedren and the birds.
15:32Yeah.
15:33I mean, to me, at this juncture, it looks like a throwaway.
15:37How much more of this do you have?
15:39I have about half a yard.
15:41And it's not awful.
15:42I mean, the more I look at it, it's not terrible.
15:44It's not awful.
15:45I find it to be quite seductive, frankly.
15:47And it's a matter of you love it or you hate it.
15:50But no one's gonna be neutral.
15:51Yeah.
15:52And I think that's where you need to be on this challenge.
15:53I mean, if she's like this, you know, and maybe it's like sleeveless or something.
15:58You know what?
15:59You kind of love it?
16:00You have me totally seduced.
16:01A full dress of fur?
16:03Like, is that crazy?
16:04Is that crazy?
16:05I mean, I kind of like it, but I'm freaking out now because everybody's like halfway done,
16:10if not almost done with their coat, and I don't even have a coat or a dress.
16:15All right, designers.
16:16I feel extremely good about where each of you happens to be at this juncture.
16:23Just continue your trajectory and don't overthink.
16:28All right?
16:29Okay.
16:30Work hard.
16:31Work hard.
16:32I love you guys.
16:33See you later.
16:34All right, I'm going in for the kill.
16:45The tricky thing about Project Runway is that there is no time.
16:49You have to think fast, and you have to make it happen.
16:52So, I agree with Tim.
16:53It's really important not to overthink.
17:01We might be cooking with some Crisco over here.
17:03Jasmine is my model, and I'm super excited to work with her.
17:07Do you like this?
17:08Yeah, I love it.
17:09I love it.
17:10She is another one of the plus-size models that everyone's afraid of.
17:14But I am ready to attack it and make her look fabulous and let everybody know.
17:19Plus, girls rule.
17:21Well, like I said, my expression is Misha.
17:23Yeah!
17:24Okay.
17:25This looks hella huge.
17:26I think the look is going to be different.
17:29The fur will help.
17:30As far as the cut of the dress, you don't want to make me look bigger than I need to look.
17:36If I had, like, a hand warmer thing in here, would that be weird?
17:40I've never been more hungry or eager, and I feel like now it's down to the last challenge.
17:45I'm coming off a win.
17:46Like, I want this back.
17:47But the top, I love.
17:48I feel like that part fits really good.
17:51This is, like, the worst thing I've ever made.
17:57I don't even know if I'm going to show up at this point.
18:00What do you mean?
18:01I don't have anything finished.
18:05I still don't know what Margarita is creating, and she looks a little frantic.
18:10Oh, my God.
18:12And, you know, being an island girl, not really knowing what winter is.
18:16What are we going to make in a winter coat?
18:19She might be going home.
18:21All right, guys.
18:22It's our last night.
18:25Say goodbye.
18:26Bye.
18:27Oh, man.
18:35Coming up on Project Runway.
18:37Designers and models, it's our final runway show before New York Fashion Week.
18:41It's, like, down to the wire.
18:43Like, who's going to go to Fashion Week?
18:44Come on, come on, come on.
18:46Take me to Fashion Week, please.
18:49Do it, guys.
18:50Let's do it, do it, do it.
18:51Let's do this.
18:52Let's do this.
18:53Let's do this.
18:54Bum, bum, bum, bum.
18:55I'm a nervous wreck over here.
18:56Five of us here.
18:57Four of us get to go to Fashion Week.
18:58It couldn't get any tighter as far as competition goes.
18:59I want to go to Fashion Week.
19:00I need to be at Fashion Week.
19:01I want to go to Fashion Week.
19:02Take me to Fashion Week.
19:03Take me to Fashion Week.
19:04Please.
19:05Good morning.
19:06Good morning.
19:07Good morning.
19:08Where is everyone?
19:09Is anyone in the Brothers Sewing and Embroidery Studio?
19:10Oh, come on in.
19:11Hi.
19:12You're all in black.
19:13Good heavens.
19:14All right, everyone, it's our last runway.
19:15Nervous.
19:16Yeah, well, of course, I'm nervous for you, too, but it's going to be smashing and sensational.
19:21The usual drill.
19:22You have an hour to send your models to the Avon Beauty Lab and to our hair studio.
19:26When the models return from hair and makeup, you'll have 15 minutes with them to prep them
19:30for the runway, all right?
19:31Okay.
19:32Use the J.C. Penney accessory wall only through the lens of what you've designed.
19:35And what you've designed.
19:36And what you've designed.

19:43Nervous.
19:44Yeah, well, of course, I'm nervous for you, too.
19:45But it's going to be smashing and sensational.
19:46The usual drill.
19:47You have an hour to send your models to the Avon Beauty Lab and to our hair studio.
19:50You've designed.
19:51And remember, thankfully, Rowenta has supplied you with irons and steamers.
19:55All right.
19:56Work, work, work.

20:06Come on, come on, come on.
20:07Do you feel comfy in it?
20:08Is it itchy at all?
20:09It's fine.
20:10It's fine.
20:11Lyris can totally carry this ensemble.
20:13I don't see your face.
20:14A good reaction.
20:15But it doesn't look right.
20:16You got to picture it with the belt.
20:17It's got a really good belt.
20:18It's just being a little messy.
20:19Again, I'm going to go through this whole process where I get so far and then I just
20:22die right at the end.
20:23I'm freaking out.
20:24I think you do have little pockets right here.
20:25I manage my time really well.
20:26I'm much happier with it and the waist hits you at a better spot.
20:29All I have to do is edit, edit, edit.
20:32Other designers have more colors, more patterns.
20:35But you know, I kind of, at the end I wanted to make it look like my style.
20:42and the waist hits you at a better spot all i have to do is edit edit edit
20:48other designers have more colors more patterns but like you know i kind of
20:52at the end wanted to make it look like my style
21:04how are you lots of highlight and maybe even just a slight contour
21:09we got the new stick contour that we can use a little bit of highlights yeah i want her to look
21:17frosty a nice smoky cat eye with her it's so easy and just a gloss on the lip she love it
21:25i would like to just kind of do a clean face let's do this soft foundation this is a cream blush
21:32perfect
21:38hi designers in 10 minutes you and your models and i are going down to the runway all right

22:20you and jasmine ready yes all right hit it thank you jesus i have struggled with everything that
22:32you could possibly name but if i get to go to fashion week it has been worth it i have to show
22:37everyone what i'm capable of i need this i think she looks adorable
22:42hello welcome to our winter wonderland i know it's cute beautiful as you know in fashion one
22:58day you're in and the next day you're out this is the big day today's runway will determine who will
23:05move forward to new york fashion week for this challenge tim and i asked you to create a high
23:10and winter wonderland look all right let's say hello to our judges first we have creative director
23:16of brooks brothers women and fashion designer zach posen hi designers creative director for mary clara
23:22magazine nina garcia hello and our guest judge for today actress katie holmes welcome thank you
23:29we also have tim gunn here for the runway show we love you too love you back and as you know he is
23:34your mentor and he will not be judging your looks we also have an anonymous runway show so we the judges
23:39do not know which designer created which look but we've been with you guys long enough that i think
23:45we can figure it out by now let's start the show
23:48do not know which one of our guests we're going to be with you guys we're going to be with you guys
23:54ah i love it
24:01she looks so pretty
24:07christina is looking amazing it's so flowy and there's so many layers she's ready to go hang out in
24:14park city or aspen it's my dream girl it's everything and more that i envisioned
24:30it's been a really emotional ride for me here and i never gave up lyris rocked it and i think
24:51it came through and i'm so happy that it did
25:06my look turns out just how i wanted it to it is really nice sleek high fashion and it is fully modest
25:14it's unexpected so i just hope that the judges feel that they have no choice but to send me to fashion week
25:35i'm feeling accomplished i really love my coat he looks like a classic lady the simplicity of the top
25:47fit well with the trousers the trousers came out great i really really like my look
26:05it looked really good because everything was so organic
26:16misha looked great on the runway i think everything worked
26:26i have to say that was an amazing runway show today you brought this winter wonderland to life
26:33today we're going to talk to all of you and then we will decide who will move forward to new york fashion
26:38week
26:44i have to say that was an amazing runway show today we were very impressed
26:49today we're going to talk to all of you and then we will decide who will move forward to new york fashion
26:54week let's bring out your models
27:03brandon tell us about your look coming from utah i kind of like hung out in park city a lot so it
27:08took me back there i put a lot of work in the details this wax cotton was really hard to work with
27:13but i mean i had a vision right away and it came out almost exactly how i'd like it too and i'm happy
27:19it's nice to see a winter version of what you do it's not easy to play with so much layering and dimension
27:26it feels luxe it feels kind of street you know there's a lot of references in there and they all
27:33sit together really effortlessly it's just very exciting to watch you it's a beautiful modern take
27:40on something very traditional it's sexy it's young unique and i love the colors i love that you chopped
27:46a little hole in her beanie and her hat and made her hair come out those little touches are really cool
27:52i loved it head not necessarily to toe because today was snowing right and the toes were getting
27:59a little cold on the runway but you seem to enjoy this challenge thank you brandon thank you margarita
28:05tell us about your look i wanted to do a coat that feels like fur but it's wool and then the element
28:13of surprise by having the fur dress underneath it really works it actually looks really good on her
28:21it singes her nicely at the waist and the coat is beautiful there's a timeless chicness to a wrap coat
28:30this one looked perfect on your model but most of all when she opened the coat and all of a sudden
28:36the surprise effect was everything and that made me think of you in another light thank you very much
28:44that's a lot thank you margarita ayana when we were at the ice bar all the fur made me think rebel
28:52and then i started to think outlaw and so i wanted to create something that had a very like outlaw feel
28:58but at the same time she's on the go i like the fact that you played with color and you gave it
29:03like this painterly fluorescent coat everybody has a black coat but i don't think many people have this
29:10coat the coat i agree with nina because i do have a black one and i have a camel one so i would want to
29:16have that coat can we have a look at the piece underneath this on the other hand i would not want to
29:23have it's a bit costumey it's a little childish i don't think it does amazing things for the body
29:30i like the fact that you get a two-in-one coat i like the proportions it's very pleasing to the eye
29:36thank you kenya tell us about your look well tony called and said she had some deals to close and
29:42she was having cocktails afterward maybe a little networking so i created her a nice little coat and a
29:49coordinating top and a nice pair of pants to you know pull this together it's obviously you know
29:54a fun textile her coat has some attitude to me i'm not as sure about with the styling of it i think
30:01you could have brought it more high fashion you know i think the tailoring and the fit on her
30:06is pretty excellent i mean her legs look great the only issue with the look is that the blouse to
30:12the tweed to the pants doesn't all sit together legs for days legs for days but her torso is like
30:20super tiny this girl feels very downtown very cool she's way too cool for the outfit underneath okay and
30:29underneath is so sophisticated and uptown it could have done with something a little more classic got it
30:37okay kantara tell us about your look my inspiration was very simple i just wanted to make something
30:43nice for misha i wanted to make her happy we became such a good friends here so the inspiration was your
30:50model yep kantaro i think you did wonderful job it looks very modern very sculptural the back is
31:00extraordinary is it a short but it's a short yeah short lovely i like the way you styled her i like
31:08the leggings that you used as boots i'm trying to understand how you get into this jacket so there's a
31:15tie here i love the simplicity of this look it's very beautiful congratulations this is heaven from head
31:26to toe especially i'm in love with the shorts i think this is the chicest snow woman i have ever seen
31:32there's a real couture quality to it when you talk about your minimalism this is an interesting take
31:40on it thank you i love how every single piece you can appreciate on its own and it works and it's so
31:48beautifully cut you're telling a story and i really like this story sophisticated and youthful
31:55hard combination to achieve thank you so much kentaro tell us why you should go to fashion week and
32:02which two designers should go with you i like western beautiful classy line but still my cultural influences
32:10and i want to mix everything together but my way who would you take with you my brother brandon probably
32:18he's very talented and when ayana makes dresses makes me smile it's like completely outside of my
32:26brain brandon i have really enjoyed this experience it's pushed me to make women's clothes but kind of
32:32stick to my identity a lot of the looks i feel could be a collection and just kind of develop it so
32:37my brother of course kentaro and i have to agree with him ayana has kind of a surprise factor
32:44about her work i would enjoy to see a collection from her kenya why should you move forward to new
32:50york fashion week and which two designers would you choose it has been years of struggle and sacrifice and
32:58and not knowing how things are going to work and i think that sending i'm sorry sending my collection
33:07down the runway to new york fashion week it would make sense all the days that you sacrifice am i going
33:14to pay rent or am i going to buy fabric and so it would just mean everything to be able to do that
33:31and which two designers would you choose brandon and ayana i think brandon has a very interesting
33:37perspective on women's fashion and i think ayana always has like a thousand things in her brain and
33:42when she can narrow it down i would really like to see her be able to you know have a voice margarita
33:48why should you go to new york fashion week i think i could really tell a story through a collection
33:54i have grown so much and i think brandon deserves to go to fashion week i think he's an incredible
34:02designer it's so different from what i do and we like do the opposite i do very feminine things because
34:06it's something i dreamed about technically i think kintaro is very good i would love to see what he can
34:14do with more time ayana why do you deserve to go to new york fashion week being here has pushed me
34:21farther than i ever thought i could go i am just so ready to take it even farther and kenya is a designer
34:27that already knows who her customer is also brandon is a designer that pushes me as well i feel like
34:35i just never know what brandon and kenya are gonna do they just keep me on my toes more than ever okay
34:40we've heard what you had to say we're going to take a closer look at your designs we have some big

35:47incredible it's canvas oh it's heavy it's really smart though there's always a street vibe to his clothes
35:57and misha is wearing contoro yes this i'm in love with it's really really beautiful really cool it
36:04could be very bulky and it's not and that's kind of amazing it's incredible
36:09and sanita is wearing ayana she made the fabric graphic i like the coat i have just a really hard
36:19time with what's underneath it it needed to look a little more luxe
36:22and lyris is wearing margarita beautiful the coat is a classic and it worked really well on her silhouette
36:32this is very pretty their back is a problem well she knew it and never intended for lyris to remove the
36:38coat and jasmine is wearing kenya well i like this fabric a lot i like this fabric too and
36:47i really like this coat i want it with jean shorts and a t-shirt
