02:20What would it be without the fireworks of Cairo that is the trademark of World Championship Wrestling and the trademark of Professional Wrestling's number one program?
02:32I tell you, Vince, we head in now to this coming Sunday's Great American Bash from Baltimore.
02:39And yet the world's talking about Hollywood Hogan, Fred the Hitman Hart, and that tag team against Rowdy Roddy Piper and the Macho Man Randy Savage.
02:50They're talking a lot about that, and they're talking equally about what we saw at the top of the program.
02:56The power struggle has continued for many months with two solid factions of the New World Order.
03:02And I tell you, the one thing that's undeniable now is the red and the black, as Larry takes his kudos, has Sting under their wing.
03:12No question about it, Tony.
03:13The wrestling world is talking about that blockbuster.
03:16Sting is a part of the red and black, no question.
03:19But the main question is, who's going to be next?
03:21You know, we talked, Larry, we tried to reason why Sting would go with the red and the black, I think, in many, many decisions, many choices.
03:29One of the main ones is the fact that Lex Luger, the total package, his best friend, walked across the line first, became a member first of the red and the black NWO pack.
03:37Lex Luger had a lot of influence on Sting, but again, could be also the hatred he has for Hollywood Hulk Hogan, and recently all the animosity towards the Giant.
03:47A lot of factors must have went into Sting's decision.
03:51Not only the split down the middle of the New World Order, but as far as fans are concerned, split down the middle as well.

05:22Well, of course, Lex Luger has been put in charge of the wolf pack recruiting, and it
05:27looks like they are setting their sights on Diamond Dallas Page, Tony, as the number one
05:31recruit for the wolf pack.

05:35Ladies and gentlemen, as what's now become is the most famous wolf howl in all of pro sports
05:44will usher in the wolf pack.
05:46Obviously, something they want to say from their end, living legend of the New World Order.
05:52Well, Hollywood Hogan and Rod Silla and Bischoff, and they're saying, the red and the black
05:59Tony, I can't figure out, but these guys are crowd favorites.

16:24Remember when Diamond Dallas Page and the total package Lex Luger won the World Tag Team Championships Thursday on Thunder.

40:52We were all in Peoria, Illinois this past Thursday for Thunder
40:56when Diamond Dallas Page and Lex Luger won the match.
40:59Thought they were World Tag Team Champions.
41:01You made the statement from your office at the CNN Center in downtown Atlanta.
41:06And, of course, that has led to another big match sign
41:09coming up at the Great American Bash this Sunday, James.
41:12Well, Tony, last Thursday I tried for quite some time to get through on the lines
41:15because we had bad weather, communication problems from the Atlanta end.
41:19I tried to get through and put the match to a stop before it ever even got started
41:23because, actually, the Giant had no authority whatsoever
41:26to pick anyone that he wanted to be his partner that night,
41:30declare themselves champions, start making matches,
41:33and title matches on top of that.
41:35And, really, what happened after that is unfortunate
41:38for Lex Luger and Diamond Dallas Page
41:40because I was sincere when I congratulated them on a great match.
41:43But the thing is that the match should never have taken place in the first place.
41:48So now we have Sting of N.W.O. Wolfpack, the Giant of N.W.O. Hollywood,
41:54as you said, one-on-one coming up this Sunday at the Great American Bash.
41:59And they've got some really has a big impact on the World Tag Team Championship.
42:04Exactly right.
42:05Because it was obvious that we were never going to get the two of them together
42:08to defend the titles.
42:09Those differences were beyond repair.
42:11So the executive committee said, let's have them meet one-on-one.
42:15Whoever walks away that night has both championship belts,
42:19then can pick who he wants for a partner.
42:22WCW will then recognize them as the new Tag Team Champions.
42:26They can then rightfully defend the titles.
42:28We'll sanction the match.
42:30And that should put this issue to rest.
42:32It's got to be the first time ever in pro wrestling anything like this has happened.
42:35And that had to be a tough decision for you.
42:37I never remember anything like this, but it really seemed like the only way to go.
42:41So the Great American Bash this coming Sunday, someone's walking away with both belts.
42:46It will be Sting against the Giant this Sunday.
42:50Whoever wins will have both belts, be able to choose his own partner,
42:54and become World Tag Team Champion.

44:15And this NWO Wolfpack continues to grow, and let's be honest, in popularity.
44:21And I think this popularity is what's helping their recruiting and helping wrestlers move to their side.
44:27First Luger, then Sting, and now they're pushing for DDP and for him to give an answer tonight.
44:32And it's like anything else, once it starts going that way, anything can happen.
44:37I think there's no question that NWO Hollywood felt that groundswell,
44:41and they decided that they were going to bring in none other than Dennis Rodman,
44:45here this evening on Nitro to maybe turn the tide a little bit
44:48and swing the power back in favor of the NWO black and white.

44:57Now, the black and the white have Rodzilla, and the red and the black go after Sting,

46:34but you just don't go up and say you want to face Goldberg,
46:37because Goldberg is a juggernaut.
46:39Goldberg is unstoppable right now.
46:42Yeah, especially you don't want to make that challenge coming so close to the match.
