00:00you start separating on a day like tomorrow you start looking at the skill groups who's running
00:03with the ones who's running with the twos and threes and then when you put the pads on that's
00:06where you really start to tell next week and then you get into game mode when the commander's
00:10commanding you get your joint practices going so it's just it's sort of that slow build and it's
00:14just we're trying to pace some things with the new guys and um brable's one of those coaches that if
00:19you're not paying attention and if you're not getting on the train the bus is going to leave
00:22and the train will depart the station you can tell at the tempo of camp i think that's one big
00:26thing that i've seen here even the stride and stretch period which is usually where you're
00:31stretching it's sort of like hey everybody spread your legs sit down count to 10 touch your right
00:35toe then we'll do left everybody's usually bs it they're moving throughout that it's almost like
00:39an aerobic type stretch and i think there is a sports science element to it um you know we had
00:46marcus jones on today for one of the camp interviews and uh last year was a big emphasis on running that
00:51hill over there you know when mayo had the team i remember the win in cincinnati take him to the hill
00:55and marcus said we haven't done much of that it's like we've sort of done other elements of that
01:00but i'd be interested to know what what things they do and what they don't do so they do study
01:05that in the off season see how benefits teams and you know does it catch up with them around week six
01:09seven and that do they alter it it includes diet training nutrition everything so uh it's a it's a
01:16pretty smart group i think that they're led by and i think the one thing you watch it's not a lot of
01:21looking around like there was last year no you have play sheets and what do we do here which one
01:24are we going to everybody knows where they're going they're on the move and uh they maximize
01:29every single second that they're out there yeah that was one thing i noticed today as much as they
01:33like it's tough to say the tempo of practice was up right because they're jogging through all these
01:37plays but they got a lot of plays and they weren't out there very long they it was a short practice in
01:42terms of the total time on the field they got a lot of plays in for what this practice was which i
01:48think is encouraging and i think like you said like it's a smart group there's a plan last year
01:52like to compare and contrast it last year they'd go out there they'd stretch they'd do like a period
01:56of two or individuals and then it was boom you're into 11 on 11 full speed and that was most of
02:01practice and it was exciting to watch but we saw ultimately what the results were this year feels a
02:06lot more nuanced a lot more broken down um there's a lot more focus on the details we talked to caleb on
02:11chase on after practice and he said you know a day like today you really have to be focused on the
02:17little things and the intricacies of what you're doing whether it be footwork whether it be hand
02:21placement whether it be just where you're lining up things like that so it does seem through the
02:26first three days and it was pretty up tempo the first two days today again slower brable said
02:30tomorrow they'll have more speed and then the off day on sunday and the pads on monday
02:34it does seem overall through the three days my big takeaway last year compared to this year
02:39there's still a lot more focus on the little things a lot more focus on the details and maybe
02:42it's not as exciting to watch itself when you're down here on a day-to-day basis but the goal isn't to
02:48have exciting training camp practices the goal is to put a team out on the field that can compete
02:52and win games when we get to september it was a lot of short runs today yeah you could tell
02:56everything was condensed it seemed like short artist goal line but you know who benefits from a day like
02:59today it's drake may because it's the high repetition of getting a play call getting a huddle
03:04breaking the huddle so he's getting a zero out slot let's go rad 34 so he's already thinking formation
03:09you know i'm handing off to the right then we're huddling back up what's the personnel group coming in
03:14we're going twins here let's go twins out slot uh ride 34 booted eight you know 239 so it's like
03:20processing and just going through osmosis into your in your head the actual play call so i can
03:25visualize it and then run it so that's going to help a guy like may today and the quarterbacks
03:28i'll throw this out there too we'll get to it in a second uh if you guys have any football questions
03:32for zoe throw them in the youtube chat well i'll relay a couple of them uh they told me you could say
03:36shit fuck on this channel you just did there we go there you go we're off and running that was the
03:41that's what we're looking for that was the main question that's what people were looking for so
03:43now that we've gotten that out of the way any football question you have for zoe i'll ask you
03:47in a sec but i want to ask you about one more thing uh we talked about the alignments today jared
03:50wilson still mixing in at center and guard play both guards today actually very briefly but got a couple
03:55snaps at right guard you talked to gary bradbury who's the other center competing he talked to the
04:00media did a press conference as well and talked about uh the the intricacies of picking up the
04:04verbiage of the josh mcdaniels playbook i think i heard he talked about you uh talked about that with
04:09you a little bit as well what did you make of kind of where he's at in terms of picking up the
04:14offense well he said you know going back to april his head was fucking spinning so like you're putting
04:17in you know a ton of uh extra extra flash cards in his book you know knee deep in it and that's
04:23you know david andrews gonna be on with us once a week here during the season can't wait to start
04:27talking with him next week and the amount of knowledge that those centers have to know it's it's
04:31almost like the quarterback like i said today it helps a guy like drake may it's also gonna help
04:35a center whoever's in its center because they're thinking okay i'm looking at the two guards next
04:39to me which guard do i trust to make this certain call certain tag call am i going to slide right
04:43which nose guard are we going to be playing against is he overshaded one way or the other this is all
04:47the stuff the center has to process you didn't have to do that in a west coast offense you just
04:50called a play and ran it which is just boneheaded to me i don't understand why you ever want to do
04:54that you want to give yourself the best chance to succeed during a play and that's it's kind of what
04:58josh is going to do here with these centers uh first question in the chat here jalen polk who by the way
05:03was not out there again today mike mike drabel talked about how important it will because he's
05:09asked about him yeah i know how important it is for him to be caught up uh and that was basically
05:12the question like is he is is this it the jalen polk era over i pretty much yeah i mean it feels
05:17that i mean you listen to all the beat writers to the cover the team and like guys like you
05:21you have your one through five guys like kasha booty are light years ahead of him and baker and i guess
05:26baker's even further down the totem pole but uh it's sad because it's picked number 37 from a year ago
05:31uh you see the lab mcaunkeys the other guys the cooper de jeans that went after him and those
05:35type of players that you could have had that's what you know it's not me about losing polk yeah it's
05:40about you know you're the linebacker you could have a backup to spleen at mike linebacker you could
05:46have an edge guy that you drafted your corner your number two you could have a number two corner
05:50that popped last year like uh you didn't have to go and pay uh carl davis the amount of money that
05:56you paid him 20 million a year that's the part that you lost out on that's what frustrates me yeah and
06:01he's very deep because kashaun booty still very involved he's a guy some people pokes a lost cause
06:05you're not getting anything yeah i will baker had baker was getting open the first two days now it was
06:08against the threes so take that with a grain of salt but i'll give him credit where credit's due
06:12he was getting open uh what's been your biggest surprise through the first three days about the team
06:16um i don't want to say it's a big surprise but it's it's campbell like i'm and i'm every question
06:24i'm asked about this team it's going to really come down to you know how's campbell playing yeah he i watch
06:29him out there you know the way they break the huddle the way he's in he's in on every play
06:32you know i know they rotate some guys through and you have to do that but talking to guys talking to
06:37people that i know that i trust and then you have guys on like morgan moses yesterday bradbury today
06:42they're like oh they speak the world of him kids in early he's working hard um i think he knows the
06:47pressure that he that's on him and if you realize that when you know all eyes are on you the criticism
06:53of the arm arm size there's nothing he can do about that's the way he's born that's the way he looks
06:57but now can he compensate can you go out and play can you get that fit and it doesn't matter if
07:02you're 6'3 or if you're 6'7 if uh you're on your game and you're moving your feet you have good
07:06leverage you're gonna win in this league and i love his attitude i like the way he's approached it
07:11and uh he could do that be a good pro you know it's it's the way matt light was built with brady
07:16he could be your backside tackle for years to come you know six seven years so hopefully uh you know
07:21he's gonna really play himself into this position what do you think of drake may as a leader so far
07:25i like what he said the other day some guys around here sick of losing it feels like that
07:28means it feels like it's your team he couldn't say that a year ago um yeah you know that's that's
07:33part their fault that you know they gave joe jacoby percent the keys to the car drake you're number
07:37two and you gotta play your way into it when you're told you're number two you act like you're number
07:41two it's a lot different you see the way jay daniel's acting you see way drake may acts this year
07:46this is his team and i think that's a good job that they did get milton away from him
07:50because there's no threat behind him right now as you watch these other guys throw
07:53uh this is drake may's team last one because i've heard beatles say you guys do uniforms on
07:58your show 10 to 2 they know the rivalry uniforms today what are you expecting or can you give us
08:02anything i don't know but i do hope this that you remember when gino capoletti played there's this
08:08like uh the tricorn hat that tricorn hat with the number underrated logo it is one of my favorite
08:15logos it's almost like the old buffalo bills logo with the little buffalo on the side of the helmet
08:20yeah something like that would be kind of cool uh i'd like to see a different color pan or something
08:24but i'm a little leery of it based on what these other teams are releasing as their uh what do you
08:29call it a rivalry rivalry it's like city connect or city edition i'm not a city connect guy i'm not
08:34either i hate it for the celtics i hate it for the for the red sox i'm not a city the good news is i
08:39think they're only doing it once at least this year so we'll see i understood the city connect even
08:43though i don't like the the blue and the yellow because i love the red sox colors the right classic white red
08:48there's nothing in blue it's nothing that pops like that on a nice sunny day at fenway um but i
08:53do understand the the marathon connection here and yeah you know what what transpired a couple years
08:57ago without bringing it up the bad part of it we'll see we have more on that and of course more on
