08:37This main bearing here, I'm going to be careful not to cut myself, get this off of here, but it's actually spun in the housing.
08:51That's why it's so paper thin and it's sharp as a razor blade.
08:54See all the dark, hot area in here?
08:57That bearing was spinning in the housing.
08:59This block is ruined.
09:01Now his heads might still be good, but the block and crank are junk.
09:05Tell me why we do an upgrade and it's SMB?
09:08Yeah, SMB company makes a silicone body mount.
09:11It's a lot better material.
09:13This is a factory body mount here.
09:15You can see this one's already starting to crack out.
09:17Yeah, and it's shorter.
09:20Yeah, and you can see it compresses too.
09:22It collapses, yeah.
09:23They compress over time and they deteriorate and break.
09:27And then you get your body flexing on the frame.
09:29And it's actually pretty common.
09:31I've seen quite a few that actually break the radiator and tank just from the body flexing.
09:36Yeah, so whenever you have a radiator leaking on a 6.4, I always make sure to check the body mounts too
09:41because usually that's what's caused it to break.

09:45That is exactly condition, cause, correction confirmed.

10:12And then the block, the cylinder block, we'll also have a few of them.
10:16And what that does is this little indicator here will melt out once it hits about 230 degrees.
10:23The diesel is 215.
10:25Two, two, two.
10:26It's lower.

10:28That little solder plug right there would melt out.
10:31If that melts out, your warranty is void.
10:33That's how we know you got the engine too hot.
10:35Every manufacturer does that.
10:37But this thing's ready to go, man.

10:43Now he's doing a little trick right now.
10:44We want the tranny just to slide back just a little bit.
10:48So we loosen the tranny mount bolts.
10:50You'll allow that whole tranny and transfer case to slide back a little bit.
10:54And we have found that just that little bit makes our life a whole lot easier.
10:58We've got to push the engine back more.

11:01The torque converter is studded, so we've just got to make sure.
11:03You've got to line them studs up.
11:05Are we kind of lined up?
11:08It looks like it's pretty dang close, dude.
11:10I can't see a stud.

11:41Now all we've got to do is get it down here on the mounts.

12:25So, put a new turbo on this, but do you see where he has this bracket that's in the correct
12:31position, and it's between the bolt head here, because if you had that off just a little
12:36bit, it wouldn't fit right.
12:37I mean everything about it.
12:39From every bolt that has been painted to say that we've torqued it correctly, I just
12:45can't stress that enough.
12:47know that on a job like this, everything's routed correctly, every bracket is connected.
12:53There's nothing that's not torqued down and verified.
12:58Remember, condition, cost, correction, confirmed.
