00:00Hi, my name is Bindi as Vista from Agrarian Management. I'm a Precision Ag Consultant and I'm here today talking about paving the way to automation as part of the GRDC-funded Grain Automate Program that's led by SPAR.
00:14Today's been about looking at the steps farmers can take moving towards automation and trying to identify processes on the farm that we could perhaps automate
00:23and looking at the software and data and information requirements that might be needed and seeing where they can identify opportunities for automation going forward.
00:33And we've particularly focused on looking at variable rate which is a semi-automated process that's been around for a long time but now we have the technology that's pretty much coming standard on a lot of our machines.
00:45So today they've also had an opportunity to break up into their dealer machinery groups and look at how they can use that data that they're starting to collect on the farm with yield data in their machinery software platforms
00:56to potentially turn them into a variable rate prescription where they could go out and apply targeted inputs on the farm.
