00:24event was a major contributor washington pulled its participation at the last minute as it rejected

00:29the outcome document of a preparatory meeting held on june 17th the document had been negotiated for

00:36months by the u.n's 193 member countries u.s diplomat jonathan shrier noted that washington's

00:42commitment to international cooperation remained steadfast but said the text crossed many of the

00:47u.s's red flags undeterred u.n undersecretary general li jun hua expressed optimism that the conference

00:54can still deliver success the chinese diplomat who oversees the u.n's economic and social affairs
