00:00Hi I'm Martin CEO of Big Bower and I'm Michael COO of Big Bower. So tell me a

00:06little bit more about Big Bower then. So Big Bower it's kind of like a dating

00:11agency for people who have had a great idea for a product and getting them set

00:17up meeting manufacturers. So in terms of what you do then what sort of in the

00:25past what sort of people have you had come with what different products because

00:29obviously he's won the Biasphere award so how does it tie into that? So we've

00:33had people kind of from all kinds of backgrounds with all kinds of

00:38different ideas but one that's recent that we talked about in our pitch was a

00:42lady called Michelle who's a pharmacist and she's been helping her local

00:46community of about a thousand women with menopause problems and but rather than

00:53sort of advising that community to buy products of other brands she wants to

00:59create her own brand and and so she's she's got a captive audience you know

01:05ready to go but she doesn't know where to get started and that's where Big Bower

01:10comes in. So Big Bower takes her idea our AI and takes the idea and develops it into

01:17fully created product specifications that is then matched up with

01:23manufacturers for to make those products. So it's a very very useful tool to have

01:27especially for Michelle especially for Michelle so how did you as a company get

01:34involved in the innovation challenge then?

01:36Do you want to take this one? You take that one. I'll take this one as well. So we got

01:42involved a good friend of mine and I catch up with regularly Chris Kiswick I was

01:47talking to him about Big Bower I think later last year or earlier this year and he

01:52said have you heard about the innovation challenge that they're running next

01:55year on the island and I hadn't and looked into it and I thought that'd be

01:59perfect what a perfect event scheme to help us get our not only sort of for

02:09people to learn about Big Bower but for us to fine-tune what we're doing and we've

02:15actually developed a lot from feedback that we've got from people that have

02:19been involved in the innovation challenge which is actually progressed us

02:24to even just in the last couple of weeks getting our first few sales through

02:28the platform that we're building and we're raising money at the moment as

02:33well to further develop the Big Bower system and also help people more people

02:39find out about it and just being a finalist in this competition has already

02:44unlocked a number of doors to us to potential investors we've already had

02:48some commitment of investment and now winning this award the biosphere awards of all

02:54I really think is gonna unlock the next chapter in investment for us I mean I

02:59definitely agree and I think how are you guys feeling I mean was expecting to win

03:04how do you feel to win well I was always optimistic but you never know how these

03:11things are going to go you know we we founded Big Bower not that long ago but we

03:17built it from the the struggles that we went through in owning our own white label and

03:22private label factory in owning our own brand that's available on the high street

03:27so we've lived these experiences and the difficulty especially in trying to create

03:33a product that is aligned with those eco values that we want to live and we know

03:39so many brands out there because we manufacture for them that have the same

03:43struggle and so for a long long time we would spend hours weeks and months of our

03:50time and effort in helping other people create sustainable eco-friendly

03:54fantastic products that really help people but there's only so much that two

04:00of us can do so we've created Big Bower to open that up to everyone it's

04:05essentially all of our knowledge and experience harnessed into this package so

04:10that then anyone can benefit from the knowledge that we have in building

04:14sustainable products and then lastly then what advice would you give to all the

04:20companies who are contemplating entering the innovation challenge for a bit wary I

04:26think that I would advise them to go for it you know you've got a lot to learn a lot

04:33to take away from being part of the innovation challenge I don't think there's

04:36anything to lose from being part of it and the mentoring the sessions that we've had

04:42through the team at Digital Isle of Man has been fantastic and we've really

04:46enjoyed the process and to be honest yeah really surprised to win but really

04:50proud to take a win for me Michael Big Baron the team well congratulations again

04:57guys well done
