00:00Lisa, I want to talk to you about a pop culture phenomenon known as Greta Gerwig's Barbie movie.
00:05How did having that movie, which was a huge gamble for Mattel, and I know it was in development for
00:10many, many years, and there were different iterations, and there was a thinking that
00:14maybe it would go this way or go that way, but how did having that movie in the marketplace
00:18help Mattel, and how did it introduce Barbie to a new generation of young girls?
00:24Well, the movie was incredibly exciting and impressive on so many levels, but I would say
00:29yes, one of the really exciting learnings and now opportunity go forward is that we did
00:37broaden the audience for the brand, and certainly continued to engage with fans and parents and
00:45young girls that love Barbie, but we reached a group of women and men that had not been
00:52as familiar with what Barbie was up to recently.
00:55We definitely broadened the aperture, and we now have a really exciting fan base that
01:00we're marketing other products to, lifestyle products, gaming, even more content, so that's
01:06been exciting, and then of course we're using the learnings from Barbie as the blueprint for
01:11our next big theatrical release, which is Masters of the Universe next June, so very excited
01:16about that.
