00:00Kevin Durant, and where is he going to go here, Joe?
00:02So we'll take a look at a series of Sham Sharania tweets here
00:05that sort of explain the scenario and give us some updates here.
00:08The Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs, and Houston Rockets are 15 times all-star.
00:12Hold on, let me repeat this.
00:14The Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs, and Houston Rockets are 15-time all-star.
00:19Come on, man, you got to word that better, Sham Sharania.
00:21Preferred trade destination outside of Phoenix, sources tell ESPN.
00:25Those across the NBA have made aware in recent days
00:28that those are the three teams that Durant would commit to long-term.
00:31And again, keep in mind, long-term, what's that mean?
00:33Two years at this point?
00:34Second tweet here from Sham Sharania following that up.
00:38Durant is on an expiring $54.7 million deal for 25-26,
00:44and the Suns have made clear to six to eight seriously interested teams
00:48that they will make the best deal for the franchise
00:50even outside of his preferred list of Miami, San Antonio, and Houston.
00:55So let's start here.
00:56Kevin Durant, we've known it for just about the entire season.
00:59He will be out in Phoenix.
01:01He's not a free agent, but will demand a trade,
01:03and the Suns probably looking to move him out of town.
01:05So when you look at Kevin Durant, and the NBA is a unique sport,
01:09the superstar player drives this.
01:11I don't want to go here.
01:12I want to go here.
01:13I don't want to go to this place.
01:14I'd rather go to that place.
01:15The only time it's really changed, Joe, in the past couple years was, right?
01:18Damian Lillard's like, I'm not playing again unless I go to Miami,
01:20and he wound up in Milwaukee at that point.
01:22So for Kevin Durant on where he wants to go, let's start here.
01:25Where do you think he wants to go, and why?
01:29I don't know that he'll have a choice, though, ultimately at the end.
01:33I find it ironic that, listen, we have known that the Phoenix Suns,
01:38he's been on the trade market since at least February, right?
01:42And then we heard that the Suns had a deal in place with the Golden State Warriors,
01:47and he didn't want to go.
01:49He was like, I don't want to go back to Golden State.
01:51So, okay, so apparently he's got leaking the shams here that he's got three teams in mind.
01:58Now we're hearing Minnesota.
02:00Now we're hearing New York.
02:02We don't know.
02:02The Suns have not confirmed what the six to eight teams are that are interested.
02:07But he's a 37-year-old player on his way out of the league, not on the way up.
02:13So I don't know that he might either have to stay in Phoenix, because like you said,
02:19he's under contract.
02:20He might not land where he wants to go or be very happy at 37.
02:24It all depends, I think, on what he wants to do.
02:27I'm not sure the market is that big for a 37-year-old Kevin Durant.
02:31All right.
