00:00And OKC has built their team perfectly.
00:03They built through the draft.
00:04They signed veterans along the way.
00:06They didn't do a Sixers type of tank.
00:08Everything seemed to be coming together for them to be dominant forever.
00:12And all these draft picks, more draft picks than every other team.
00:15It was all set up.
00:16Well, all of a sudden, the Spurs last night beat them 130 to 110.
00:22Now, for you to understand that, if you're not fully locked into the NBA season,
00:26for a lot of you, I know it starts tomorrow on Christmas Day
00:29is where you really lock in.
00:30This is a big deal because the Thunder have four losses total to the entire league.
00:35But two of those losses are to the Spurs, as I just said.
00:41Wemby could disrupt this OKC dominance that was supposed to go on forever and ever.
00:47And you kind of see SGA, the reigning MVP, the finals MVP.
00:51Everything's been going great.
00:52Well, all of a sudden, it seems like we saw it in the play-in tournament,
00:56in the in-season cup.
00:59And now we see it again.
01:01The Spurs appear to be the kryptonite for the OKC Thunder.
01:05And now you might have a legitimate rivalry with a really young team in OKC
01:10and an even younger team in San Antonio that also has their share of picks.
01:15They also had the reigning rookie of the year, by the way.
01:18And we just act like we don't pay attention to Castle,
01:21but he was the reigning rookie of the year last year.
01:24You have Wemby, who was the rookie of the year the year before that.
01:27And you also have a guy who's a contender this year in Harper to be rookie of the year this year.
01:34This can turn the entire sports world kind of on its head in a way
01:38because nothing is promised.
01:40An OKC looks like a dynasty.
01:43But what if they're not?
01:44What if the Spurs step up in there and make it to where they're not?
01:47And I'm going to say it right now.
01:49If you're talking about a dynasty, historically,
01:53you have to get to three total titles to be considered a dynasty.
01:57They don't have to be a three-peat.
01:58If you win three and five, usually, you know, you go back-to-back.
02:01Maybe you can have some years.
02:03To be considered a dynasty, the line has always been,
02:07you have to get to at least three titles to be considered a dynasty.
02:13OK?
02:13If you get three total within a small amount of time,
02:16and obviously some have gone on to more, Jordan 6-for-6, for example,
02:20six in eight years.
02:21You've had the Spurs get to five.
02:23You've had the Warriors get to four.
02:25We've seen it.
02:26But over the years, we've seen with dynasties, you have to get to three.
02:31I'm going to say this right now.
02:33With the way the Spurs match up with OKC,
02:36and with them being in the same conference,
02:39therefore, year after year, they'll have to beat one another
02:42in order to even get to the finals,
02:44which should make you very happy if you're a Knicks fan, for example,
02:47or a Cleveland Cavaliers fan, or an Orlando Magic fan in the short term,
02:52because you don't have to beat both of them.
02:54You only have to beat one of them.
02:55But I'm going to say this right now.
02:58OKC is going to get to two titles,
03:00at least, before OKC gets to three.
03:05Therefore, that'll now be even footing.
03:08I believe that the Spurs are the team of the future, not OKC,
03:13because I don't believe the ownership's going to spend money.
03:15I don't believe that they're going to keep that team together.
03:17They're going to have to get rid of guys because of the NBA,
03:20CBA rules with all the stuff that happens.
03:23I believe that the Spurs are going to be the team that keeps OKC from being dominant.
03:28Not anybody in the East, not anybody else in the West.
03:32But those two teams will be not only the best rivalry going forward,
03:36I believe, in the NBA, I think they're going to be the best rivalry period in professional sports.
03:42Now, college is different, OK?
03:44Ohio State, Michigan, that's probably the top rivalry right now.
03:48And maybe we'll get back to Duke and North Carolina and some of those college rivalries.
03:52But that's different.
03:53But when it comes to the NBA and, nay, pro sports, with what happened last night,
04:00I believe that this is going to be the dominant rivalry in all of professional sports.
