00:00Hello there. Some of us certainly were treated to quite a show during this first half of
00:05the weekend. We've been sent some great shots of just some of the lightning strikes that
00:09we've seen over the last 24 hours, really providing quite a spectacle in the sky. As
00:14we head into Saturday evening though, things are slowly beginning to ease their way down.
00:18Still quite a damp evening to come, particularly for Scotland. A few thunderstorms rumbling
00:22on for a time, but certainly later on in the evening and past midnight, the rain will be
00:27turning lighter and patchier in nature. There will be some clear spells developing elsewhere,
00:31a touch of hill and coastal fog in places, and it's certainly not going to be too chilly
00:35overnight. Many of us seeing temperatures comfortably around 11 to 14 degrees Celsius as we start
00:40off Sunday morning. As we move into the second half of the weekend, we do have another band
00:46of rain just slipping its way into the northwest. This though is certainly much less intense
00:50compared to the rain we've seen throughout Saturday, so generally just lighter outbreaks
00:53for Scotland, parts of Northern Ireland. It will spill cloud into parts of Northern England
00:57and Wales into the afternoon as well. The rest of England though, we'll see some sunny spells
01:01developing in between a few scattering of showers, but generally quite a fine afternoon to come here.
01:07Temperatures clouding towards Pleasant High, so 23, 24 degrees Celsius underneath the cloud
01:12up towards the north and west, generally more around mid to high teens. As we move into the first
01:19day of the new week, high pressure is wanting to build in from the south. It's slow progress though,
01:25and we do still have these weather fronts just slipping their way into the far northwest once
01:29again, so some further outbreaks of rain are possible, particularly for the highlands, parts of
01:32Argyle and Butte, potentially heavier the hills for a time. But for much of Northern Ireland, England and
01:37Wales, there will be a decent amount of sunny spells developing throughout Monday. Perhaps the cloud
01:41is building into Northern Ireland later on in the afternoon, a bit of a brisk breeze out here in the
01:46north west. But light winds and plenty more amounts of sunshine for England and Wales, we'll see those temperatures
01:51climbing up a little bit further, 25, 26 degrees Celsius now possible. And even for Northern Ireland, central,
01:58eastern areas of Scotland, we could be pushing now more towards that 20 degrees Celsius threshold.
02:04Do be aware though, that with these climbing temperatures and the sunshine, it is great conditions for grass to be
02:10reducing its pollen. And so levels will be quite widely high on Monday, not very high across some
02:17southern and southeastern areas. So hay fever sufferers should be wary, particularly as we head
02:21right throughout this forthcoming week, because that high pressure is going to become increasingly
02:26dominant. And so the sunshine will become increasingly lengthy for many of us. Those temperatures will
02:31begin to climb even further towards perhaps the high 20s for some of us, towards the middle of the week.
02:37We'll have plenty more updates on all of that on our YouTube channel. So do subscribe for those.
02:42And we'll see you again here very soon. Bye bye.
