So I started working in Market Drayton Library in September of 2002 and then
00:07
I've worked here most of my library career had a little sin to our library
00:11
headquarters and I've been back for nearly two years now. What keeps bringing
00:14
you back to Drayton? Well I do live here and I think it's a wonderful town
00:18
there's really friendly people here and I just love working with the staff in
00:22
the library and everybody that comes in everybody's so friendly and they know
00:26
that if they need help they can come to us and we'll listen and help them as
00:30
best we can or if not we'll signpost them on to somewhere else. And you have
00:34
quite a lot of events going on here, is it quite a community hub? It is a very
00:38
much a community hub, we have things on most days so Mondays we've got a coffee
00:44
morning which is open to everybody and in the afternoon we've got our craft
00:49
nooners, we've got a chess as well later on in the afternoon, Tuesday we've got a
00:54
baby sensory play time and we've got two scrabble groups as well, Wednesdays we've
01:00
got a backgammon at late lunchtime, Thursday we are closed but sometimes on
01:04
a Thursday we've got our chair exercises once a month and on Fridays we've got
01:09
our rhyme time and our other craft group as well, we have lots of things on on
01:13
Saturdays and yeah we're still looking to do more things and we're getting ready
01:17
to plan our summer holiday events for the children as well so watch this space for
01:21
that. Amazing.
