One of the new vehicles provided for the police service in Tobago has crashed.
But according to police the driver involved might not be liable in this case. More in this Elizabeth Williams report.

00:00According to police, around 12.45 a.m. on Saturday, a police vehicle was proceeding in an easterly direction along Main Road, Mount Pleasant, when another motor vehicle drove out of Robert's Trace and collided with the left front fender, pushing the marked police vehicle into a post at Terry Brown Mini Mart on the southern side of the roadway.
00:24This resulted in further damage to the front bumper and grille, front bonnet and front tyre of the police vehicle. The airbags were also deployed. The other vehicle was also damaged to the entire front and airbags were also deployed. No major injuries were reported.
00:42Both accident victims were taken to seek medical attention at the Scarborough General Hospital. The Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service were at the scene and cleared the roadway of debris.
