00:00Head of the Satya Anand Ashram, Pundit Satyanan Maharaj tells TV6 that the early morning rains did not disrupt any of the scheduled Indian Arrival Day observations or celebrations.
00:13In fact, he views the rainfall as a positive sign, symbolically cleansing the atmosphere and washing away any negativity.
00:22Pundit Maharaj says the day's events are proceeding as planned, with a spirit of reflection, gratitude and cultural pride.
00:31I think it's going to be cancelled unless beyond some kind of readiness.
00:35However, I look at it this way, that the rains have washed our nation in preparation for this celebration that's happened for us for this night.
00:45Everybody celebrates the day now.
00:48He further notes that the culture and traditions of the East Indian community form an indelible element of Trinidad and Tobago's societal fabric, deeply embedded in the national identity and in our daily lives.

01:39Pundit Maharaj adds that the Indian community remains part of the very heartbeat of the nation.
01:46He says their presence is not just historical, but deeply personal and enduring, forming a vital thread in the rich tapestry of the nation's soul.
