00:08with developers confirming that they have now submitted a planning application
00:11to convert the historic building into residential units.
00:15Stonecastle Enterprise announced yesterday they had entered into a development agreement
00:19with Chesterfield Borough Council for the proposed conversion.
00:23While the council has not yet published a full planning application,
00:26Stonecastle previously said that they were aiming to create 15 apartments,
00:30three townhouses and two bungalows built in place of the annex buildings.
00:34A spokesperson for Stonecastle said,
00:37After a lengthy negotiation and detailed analysis of proposals,
00:41we are happy to announce that Tapton House Development Limited
00:43has exchanged on the leasehold acquisition and entered into a development agreement
00:48for the renovation and conversion of Tapton House into a number of mixed residential units.
00:52We can also confirm a planning application has now been submitted for the project.
01:00Chesterfield Royal Hospital Trust has issued an appeal
01:02following reports of an incident involving a parking scam.
01:06On Thursday, several hospital car park visitors were approached by a man
01:10who asked them to pay for parking via a handheld card machine.
01:14One woman later realised her bank card had been taken
01:16and a significant amount of money had been stolen.
01:19A spokesperson for the hospital said,
01:21Thank you to everyone who contacted us following the incident.
01:24We have been liaising with Derbyshire Police.
01:27We continue to ask people to be vigilant
01:28and inform the public of where they should pay for parking
01:31and ask that they report anything suspicious to our security team.
01:35Please note, if you are on site,
01:37the only way to pay for parking is via the payment machines
01:40situated outside the main entrance
01:42in car park 6 and car park 7.
01:45Alternatively, you can pay by the barrier on exit.
