04:10The tiny town taking a huge hit.
04:13Homes in this warehouse demolished.
04:15Not far from there, major destruction in Juneau.
04:18These stunned cows standing on splinters.
04:20This can happen to anyone, so you just got to be thankful for what you have, honestly.
04:25Hundreds of thousands lost power across Michigan.
04:29And at Chicago's Soldier Field, fans ran for cover.
04:32Beyonce's Cowboy Carter concert delayed for more than two hours.
04:36And with those storms pushing east, severe weather in the forecast again here in New York City
04:42and in the northeast for tomorrow.
04:45Whit.
04:45Faith, thank you.
04:46Let's get right to Chief Meteorologist Lee Goldberg from our New York station WABC.
04:50And Lee, a dangerous night ahead.
04:52Well, we have active tornado warnings in Indiana, Missouri, and Kentucky on the east side of Paducah.
04:57And this storm is headed toward Grand Rivers right now.
05:00It looks tornadic.
05:01We have a tornado watch from Arkansas to Indiana until this evening.

05:22Tomorrow, a couple of rounds of severe storms go to the mid-Atlantic and into parts of the northeast
05:26from Raleigh to New York to Albany.
05:28Whit.
05:28Stay on top of those alerts.
05:30Lee Goldberg, thank you.
05:31We also have more breaking news we're following tonight.
05:33That massive manhunt after a stunning jailbreak in New Orleans.
05:37Ten inmates escaping, some charged with murder, all considered armed and dangerous.
05:42And authorities tonight investigating whether this was an inside job.
05:46Here's ABC's Mireya Villarreal.
05:48Tonight, these stunning images from inside a New Orleans jail cell where ten inmates, some charged with murder,
05:55escaped, sparking an urgent citywide manhunt.
05:59The toilet, dislodged from a cell wall, exposing an opening, scrawled on the wall above,
06:06we innocent and too easy, with an arrow toward the hole where they escaped, out of view of the officer on duty.
06:13Authorities say it happened just after midnight when the inmates broke a lock on a cell door.
06:19They were still able to exit the jail about 1 on 1 a.m.
06:23After breaching a wall behind a toilet in the jail,
06:27and based on video surveillance, they were seeing exiting a door on the docks,
06:32where we normally bring in supplies, scaling a wall, and running across the interstate.
06:38Officials believe the escapees had help.
06:41These detainees received assistance in their escape from individuals inside of our department.
06:46They say the toilet could not be removed with bare hands,
06:49suggesting someone inside the jail system may have helped the inmates unscrew it with a power tool.
06:55We are investigating that to see exactly who entered these areas,
07:00what kind of work was done, if there was work being done, and if this is an inside job.
07:06Jail officials first noticing the inmates were missing during a routine headcount at 8.30 a.m.,
07:12but that's more than seven hours after they say the escapees were off prison property and on the run.
07:19One of the ten escapees captured before noon found hiding beneath a car at a hotel in the French Quarter.
07:27And moments ago, a second suspect caught with eight more still on the run.
07:32With local schools and universities are on high alert, adding more security on campus and at graduation ceremonies,
07:39with this urgent manhunt underway right now, the FBI and the U.S. Marshals also joining in in this search.
07:47Witt?
07:47Yeah, still a major concern.
07:49Maria, thank you.
07:50Here in the Northeast, the crippling transit strike affecting hundreds of thousands of commuters in and out of New York City,
07:56hundreds of engineers at the New Jersey Transit System walking off the job, bringing all trains to a stop.
08:02Here's ABC's transportation correspondent, Gio Benitez.
08:06Tonight, hundreds of thousands of commuters now left scrambling.
08:09It was like a total disaster.
08:11I have to connect to three different buses to pick up my nephew by 2.30.
08:15Roughly 450 engineers walking off the job after midnight this morning at New Jersey Transit,
08:21the third largest transit system in the nation.
08:24What do we want?
08:26When do we want it?
08:26Now.
08:27The walkout, the state's first transit strike in more than 40 years,
08:31ending New Jersey Transit Train Service in New Jersey, New York, and Philadelphia.
08:35Some Metro North trains in Orange and Rockland counties also impacted.
08:39It is a slap in the face of every commuter and worker who relies on NJ Transit.
08:44And traffic is a real concern, especially for big events.
08:47We're here at Madison Square Garden.
08:48You have that playoff game tonight.
08:50And over at MetLife Stadium, you have Shakira tonight.
08:53Fans may have to find a new way to travel, maybe even for Beyonce next week.
08:58Train stations usually bustling with riders, empty.
09:01At the center of the labor dispute, wages.
09:04They are close to 20 percent behind their peers off the other railroads.
09:09The union says engineers earn an average of $113,000 a year.
09:13They want that to increase to $170,000.
09:17But New Jersey Transit says their demands would ruin its budget and force it to put those costs back on consumers.
09:24It has to be fair to them, but it has to be fiscally responsible.
09:28And with tonight, both sides say they are ready to keep negotiating.
09:32But the next scheduled meeting isn't until Sunday.
09:35With Gio Benitez.
09:36Now to the trial of Sean Diddy Combs here in New York.

10:07Ventura testifying it left her feeling worthless, just like dirt, that I didn't matter to him, like I was nothing.
10:12Asked if she would return the $20 million she'd received in a civil settlement with Combs,
10:17Ventura told the jury, I'd give that money back if I never had to do freak-offs.
10:21The emotional testimony coming after defense attorneys suggested Combs did not coerce Ventura
10:26because she willingly indulged his sexual fantasies.
10:30They confronted her with her own text messages.
10:32In one, Ventura texted Combs, freak-off with a girl.
10:35You were suggesting a freak-off with a girl, a defense attorney asked.
10:38That's what I was suggesting, Ventura answered.
10:41But later, Ventura testified being with Combs meant she was basically a sex worker,
10:46though she also said, I have love for the past and what it was.
10:49Combs at times shaking his head.
10:52Ventura, whose days from giving birth, left the witness stand without looking at him.
10:56Her lawyer reading a statement on her behalf.
10:58I hope that my testimony has given strength and a voice to other survivors
11:03and can help others who have suffered to speak up and also heal from abuse and fear.
11:09Late today, Witt, the jury saw what federal legends said they seized from the hotel room where Sean Combs was staying the night he was arrested.
11:17There were bottles of baby oil, $9,000 in cash and illegal drugs,
11:22the kind of items Cassie Ventura said he would often stock for freak-offs.
11:26Witt, Eric Kudurski.

12:01though neither President Zelensky nor President Putin was present.
12:04The talks lasting for less than two hours, but the two sides agreeing to a 1,000-for-1,000 prisoner swap.
12:12Ukraine also requesting a direct meeting between Putin and Zelensky.
12:16But the two countries remain far apart on key terms.
12:20A Ukrainian official telling ABC News the Russians presented unrealistic demands,
12:25including that Ukraine withdraw its troops from four regions as well as Crimea.
12:30Russia saying it's satisfied with the talks and prepared to continue them.
12:35Afterwards, President Trump speaking by phone with European leaders and Zelensky gathered in Albania for a political summit,
12:43saying they agreed to work together to reach a deal.
12:46President Trump said nothing will happen until he and Putin get together,
12:50today telling reporters they may meet soon.
12:52I think we'll solve it, or maybe not, but at least we'll know.
12:56And if we don't solve it, it'll be very interesting.
13:00Where the fact that this meeting happened at all is significant,
13:04but far more is outstanding than has just been achieved.
13:07And meanwhile, Russia's war in Ukraine grinds on.
13:10Ian Pannell, thank you.
13:13Back here at home, and the Supreme Court ruling against the Trump administration

13:33The Secret Service said to interview former FBI Director James Comey after a photo he posted online,
13:39according to sources.
13:40Comey's Instagram posts showing seashells that appeared to form the numbers 8647.
13:45Trump administration officials claim that's a call to 86 or kill the president.
13:51Comey says he didn't realize those numbers could be associated with violence.
13:55He has since deleted the post.
13:58Next tonight, President Trump is on his way back to Washington after his four-day trip to the Middle East.

14:34Something bad, something bad's going to happen.
14:36Trump warning, the clock is ticking.
14:39There's not plenty of time.
14:41There's not plenty of time.
14:42Do you feel urgency?
14:43Well, they're not going to have a nuclear weapon, and eventually they'll have a nuclear weapon,
14:47and then the discussion becomes a much different one.
14:50No deal either to end hostilities between Israel and Hamas.
14:55Israel ratcheting up attacks in Gaza.
14:58The president saying, quote, we've got to get that taken care of.
15:02We're going to say we have to help also out the Palestinians.
15:04You know, a lot of people are starving on Gaza, so we have to look at both sides.
15:08The president's first major trip abroad, three countries over four days,
15:12focusing more on dollars and cents than foreign policy.
15:16The trip aimed at boosting America's business ties in wealthy Arab states,
15:20a region where his own family has growing financial interests.
15:23This morning, Trump highlighting plans for the UAE to invest $4 billion
