The news is disappointing for West Indian-born players Sunil Narine and Andre Russell, as the Kolkata Knight Riders play-offs chances took a hit.

The defending champs lost to bottom-of-the-table Chennai Super Kings by two wickets at the Eden Gardens.

KKR made 179 for 6, with Russell getting 38 and Narine 26.

Both players then went wicketless as CSK chased down the score with two balls to spare.
