00:00Good evening. We saw a few showers through the day on Monday across the southeast of England,

00:04but most places had a fine bank holiday Monday, and it's set to stay fine through much of the week ahead.

00:10That's all thanks to this large area of high pressure, blocking our usual Atlantic weather systems moving in from the west

00:16and bringing in a continuation of the dry and fairly warm theme.

00:20By the end of the week, we could see temperatures once again in the low 20s for some of us.

00:24But back to Monday evening, and there were just one or two showers just across the very far south of England to clear away,

00:29but many places will have some late sunshine. It's set to stay dry overnight tonight as well with long clear periods,

00:36and that does mean that temperatures will fall away fairly rapidly.

00:38So quite a cold night to come for the time of year, a widespread frost in the countryside,

00:43so gardeners and growers do be aware of that.

00:45The breeze continuing, though, across the far southeast of England, so here generally staying frost-free.

00:50And across the far north of Scotland, a bit more in a way of cloud here, and breeze should also keep temperatures above freezing.

00:56Perhaps one or two late mist and fog patches forming, but those rapidly clearing in the spring sunshine on Tuesday.

01:02So another glorious day to come, particularly across Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and the southwest of England.

01:08You'll notice, though, there is still quite a little cloud expected across the Midlands and eastern parts of England.

01:13And whilst it won't be as breezy and as cool as it was on Monday, we could just see that cloud produce the odd light shower here and there.

01:19And I think in terms of temperatures, once again, a little bit below average if you are on those eastern coasts of England, 13 or 14 degrees,

01:27but not as cool as it was on Monday.

01:29Otherwise, further west in the sunshine, feeling very warm indeed with highs of 17 or 18 degrees.

01:36So through Tuesday evening, then that cloud migrates its way a little bit further westwards into Wales and southwest England,

01:41but breaking up all the while.

01:43So generally another dry night to come with long clear spells, and it will turn into a fairly chilly night once again,

01:49although not as cold as it will be on Monday night.

01:52Nonetheless, a touch of frost in some rural spots.

01:56So for Wednesday, a dry day once again, a mixture of cloud and sunny spells,

02:01somewhat hazy sunshine at times rather than blue skies necessarily, but a fine day to come nonetheless.

02:06And once again, temperatures slightly higher perhaps than on Tuesday.

02:10And by the afternoon, we could see 17 to 19 degrees in quite a few spots.

02:14So feeling warm once again in that sunshine, and the winds generally fairly light.

02:19Just a little bit breezy still once again in that far south eastern corner.

02:23For Thursday then, not much changing.

02:26Perhaps a bit more in a way of thicker cloud around, but still a few sunny spells.

02:30Just watch out for the odd shower on Thursday.
