00:00I thought that he had a rough finish to that game.

00:08I mean, even overall, I know he had 22, 23 points,

00:10but the guy took like a billion shots.

00:12He missed a lot of shots last night.

00:13And I think that was his kind of first taste of, man, this is an,

00:18and look, these were all big games.

00:19It's the playoffs.

00:20Every game was tight.

00:22But that was just a moment that he'll probably learn from down the line.

00:26You know, how he played that night and in that fourth quarter.

00:28But it just, you know, that was his first time in that moment,

00:31and you could tell.

00:32But it was still a huge year for him and the Pistons coming out of nowhere,

00:37finally doing something, and they're going to build off that.

00:39Here's Cunningham to talk about it.

00:41I'd say the jump in leading the team, I think that's the main thing.

00:48You know, helping my teammates succeed, that's the thing I get the most joy from.

00:54I think I did the best job I have since I've been in the NBA with that

00:57as far as getting guys in the right position,

01:00getting them the ball in their spots on time,

01:02allowing them to do their thing.

01:03So that's what I'm most proud of this year is the way that I've taken a step in that.

01:10And I think, you know, it's only going to get better.

01:14And I still got a lot of work to do this summer.

01:18You know, I love his game.

01:19I've never seen anyone that I can think of recently that gets what he wants

01:26when he brings the ball up the floor, like this young guy.

01:30He literally gets whatever he wants.

01:32He gets to the spots.

01:36He gets to the elbow.

01:37He gets to the rim.

01:38He gets to the glass.

01:39He gets space.

01:40He gets calls.

01:42He knows how to use his big, long body and his airplane wing arms to get whatever he wants.

01:51You hear me talking all the time on this show about getting what you want,

01:55getting your space, getting your shot, getting to your spots.

01:58And he does all of the above.

02:00He checks every box, as they like to say.

02:03I think he is an absolute stud and a problem.

02:07I respect his game mad.

02:09I won't deny, though, in the crunchiest of times, he missed shots.

02:16And I think that's youth and stress.

02:19And I think that guys have all been there and missed.

02:23And then they get to a point where they don't miss.

02:26Jordan was at a point where he missed when they couldn't beat the Pistons.

02:30And then eventually he found out how to do it and knock it down and make it.

02:35I think it's no different with Kobe Bryant.

02:37I think it's no different with any great player.

02:40You have to learn the hard way.

02:42And I think he learned the hard way in this series, not this season.

02:46I thought he had a phenomenal season.

02:48He is an absolute stud and all-star, a superstar in the NBA, Cade Cunningham.
