Steers today, yeah those heavier types were sort of a little bit up and down to start with
00:05
but I think pretty consistently they were sort of $3.80 and in some occasions $4.00.
00:12
As soon as you lose that weight they sort of came back into that lower bracket and they were
00:18
sort of $3.80 and in some places up to $4.20 but pretty consistently around that $4.00 mark
00:23
which is pretty good to see. And how did the heifers go notice the lighter types
00:28
were probably a bit off today? Yeah the lighter types have been struggling for a little while now
00:33
unfortunately but the heavier types were sort of pretty good. The well-bred Angus types could have
00:39
been up to $3.50 in places today which is really pleasing. So yeah the lighter types certainly
00:44
struggled again today. And what type of buying crowd did you have here? A lot of interest from
00:48
the southeast today which is really good to see. Plenty of pink shirt interest which was another
00:53
really good thing about today. Yeah a couple of local buyers which was also good. Normally we
01:01
have a fair bit of interest from the mid-north today but had a couple of buyers missing so that
01:06
may have affected the sale just a little bit but I think the southeast was pretty prominent today
01:10
which was which was a really good sign.
