State-owned Trinidad Petroleum Holdings Limited says its discussions are very much ongoing with the preferred investor Oando towards a restart of the mothballed refinery in Point-a-Pierre.

00:08In response to an online article which claimed the deal had collapsed, TPHL said that it and Oando had one face-to-face meeting on March 13th this year.
00:19TPHL said three virtual meetings were held since then, the last of which was on April 10th, with the next meeting carded for April 23rd.
00:28TPHL said that on April 17th, Oando sent documentation to TPHL which TPHL is currently assessing a view to responding by April 22nd, 2025.
00:41TPHL also said it has received no instruction or direction from the government.
