00:00it seems that this guy is some sort of musical prodigy he's a 16 year old in california and

00:14he's already mastered 100 instruments wow at 16 he can play 100 different instruments

00:22here's his story now from kcratv journey all started when i was in the womb

00:30neil niyar's parents listened to mozart every day when they found out they were expecting him but

00:34they never could have predicted this

00:36and i say wow he has something special when i was around six years old my parents took me to a

00:45free drum class and in just after this one drum lesson i was playing the drums like an old pro

00:52i was like how did i do this the 16 year old from el grove now owns 117 musical instruments

00:59he can play all of them flawlessly at the age of 12 i made my first world record for playing 44

01:08musical instruments at the age of 12 neil kept asking for more he's got some stuff that's nuts

01:15vietnam france and more he has a passion inside him he has like the urge to keep going and he

01:21keeps going no matter what he just keeps moving forward

01:25the teen musical prodigy says he is mostly self-taught finding books and watching youtube videos

01:33uh but there's some instruments uh we're learned from teachers locally and also from online from

01:40different countries there's no stopping neil next month he comes out with his first music album and he

01:44even has a children's book that he's written highlights the more than 100 instruments he plays

01:52he hopes his dedication and can-do attitude will inspire young people to chase their dreams there are

01:57three things which i always keep in my mind when i'm doing something focus it get it and have it if you

02:05have those three things in your mind you'll get anything in no time she says every child has a

02:14gift waiting to be nurtured so i would say for the parents so just uh observe your kids and then follow

02:20if they like something support them because you never know you know from something small they can get to

02:24something big this is going nowhere for him but leticia already knew that just has all of us here in

02:34the studio with our mouths wide open uh i thought it was charming that the parents were pretending to

02:41not be disappointed he's not a doctor no stop he's only 16 he hasn't even begun that i know education

02:48i know i've never seen somebody with so many non-traditional instruments before yeah like there was

02:53the most bizarre musical instruments i've ever seen yes i've some i've never seen yeah what was that

02:58thing with the giant round like like you belong that thing like it looked like a guitar with a giant

03:04round ball on it i don't know anyone else think about the neighbors oh my god you're playing a neighbor

03:11some kind of prodigy oh my god this guy someone yeah barb's getting upset all the time about it but he

03:17said he plays like a hundred different musical instruments some of them i think he invented himself i

03:21never even seen half that stuff i played one drum uh one time i played the drums i played like uh

03:35kid's a genius and all that one two three four you're trying to have a barbecue

03:42we have a lot of fun with that but we can't now because i hope you don't mind but i'm going to

03:54practice my sitar for a yeah we never i don't even know what that is that uh and it's real cool that

04:01you do that but uh maybe do it in a garage or made famous by your rock and roll band the beatles

04:07the what the demons it sounds i guess it kind of sounds like the beatles yeah

04:14all right but yeah so that's uh that's how barb and i spend our soon days

04:22yeah i mean it's just it's a it's like what a talent and what a skill to just go nowhere i mean it's

04:29not yeah it doesn't it's no one's gonna listen to that no one's gonna listen to it what's he up to

04:35now oh is he playing those those crystal those crystal glasses with water i hope you don't mind

04:39but i created my own crystal glass we hate glass day because it's like the most annoying music you'd

04:47ever hear in your life you know he's mastered the glasses of water oh he sings too he's got an album

04:54coming out he sings i could get used for the glasses but when he sings yeah he's got to work

05:00on that part of it he's more of a it's like a dying animal

05:07yeah oh it would it would suck to live next door it really would it wouldn't be good

05:16oh he's got steel drums too

05:17yeah it's something like it listen i hear you having some kind of tiki party yeah barb's on the

05:25steel drum mr barb's husband mr barb's husband i will play the steel drum for you all right yeah
