00:00All right, Therapy Thursday is on, and first of all, a semester and a half of college gets you a long way.
00:05Yeah.
00:05All right, just know.
00:07Just know.
00:08All right, we got your queries for Dr. Davi, for Meredith MD, for Orlando BGYN.
00:16Any way you want to go, we can give you some sort of fake brilliance.
00:21Yeah.
00:22Actual brilliance comes out, too.
00:23Well, we try.
00:24Yeah, there's some nuggets.
00:26He's offended by you.
00:27You know, it's not brilliant, but we try.
00:30All right.
00:30We try.
00:31Let's see if we got some today.
00:32We got good intentions.
00:33One just came in, and I read it, and I got to tell you and ask you the question now.
00:37Are you ready?
00:37What is it?
00:38This one's for Davi.
00:39For me?
00:39But I'm pretty sure we're all going to jump in.
00:41Davi, my wife went to lunch with her trainer after they finished their workout, and it got me mad, and it got back to me, not from her, by the way.
00:50I mentioned it, and she said, babe, you have nothing to worry about.
00:53He's been showing me how to order healthy choices.
00:55How does that sound to you, Dr. Davi?
00:59Huh.
00:59How to order healthy choices, huh?
01:02How to order healthy choices.
01:02Okay, so that's the reason.
01:05That's the reason we go to lunch.
01:07Okay.
01:08If this was like a cop show, for example, I would say we have a lead.
01:14We don't have a suspect.
01:15We got a person of interest.
01:17Yes.
01:17The trainer is a person of interest.
01:20Has she crossed the line there?
01:22The fact that she didn't tell you, interesting, not enough to kind of, you know, freak out or anything, but definitely enough to watch this trainer.
01:32Worry a little.
01:34Because, yo, let's call a spade a spade.
01:36A lot of trainers are creeps.
01:38There is that factor.
01:39I know, personally, some creepy trainers.
01:44There's also a ton of professional ones, and, you know, that might even go above and beyond showing her how to eat.
01:52I know you pay for their time.
01:54It's usually in the gym.
01:55It's not really lunch.
01:56But on this alone, I'd give her the benefit of the doubt, but I'd watch homie.
02:02Okay.
02:03All right.
02:03Okay.
02:04Be on your toes.
02:06Listen, I'm trying to get back to not undermining our doctors in here, so I'm not going to argue with him.
02:13I know you were like, we all going to chime in.
02:15I'm not going to chime in.
02:16Okay.
02:16Davi gave his opinion.
02:17I wouldn't be surprised.
02:18Davi's a trained professional.
02:20Yes.
02:20He said, don't be worried about it, so we're not going to be worried about it.
02:22Okay.
02:23Don't freak out.
02:24Yeah, don't freak out.
02:25Don't freak out.
02:25Don't freak out.
02:26But keep an eye on the situation.
02:28Don't freak out about it.
02:29All right.
02:29Let's see here.
02:30We got another one.
02:30We got one for you, O.
02:31All right.
02:31This question is for Orlando.
02:33Should I be concerned about my girl not wanting me to get weight loss surgery because she is afraid that it will not go well because she does not want anything to happen to me since I am the primary provider?
02:46Okay.
02:47I think, first of all, she's worried about you a little bit more than just being the primary provider.
02:52Like, let's just, you know, that's your job.
02:55Yeah.
02:55But that's not what you do.
02:57That's not who you are.
02:58Who you are is her husband.
02:59All right?
03:00Okay.
03:00You're her man.
03:01I don't know if y'all married or whatever, but you're her partner.
03:03So, I think she probably don't want you to die.
03:06That's the first thing.
03:07And a lot of people, honestly, take medical procedures lightly now.
03:11And I think that because people are starting, because it might be a product of social media, but people are now aware of how people are getting things done.
03:20They're like, you know, hey, I got these abs because I went to Dr. Ab.
03:24Or, hey, I got these great thighs because I went to Dr. Thigh.
03:27And it's like everybody has a thing now.
03:29So, it does become a little bit cumbersome when people are making all these a la carte kind of choices for their bodies and stuff.
03:36And not everybody needs to go that route.
03:38If you want to lose some weight, there are ways that you can do it.
03:41I mean, I've not lost everything that I was supposed to, but I've got a really good move with this whole keto thing.
03:47Keto hasn't worked for some, but it works for others.
03:49So, I would say don't not do it because you're the breadwinner.
03:55Look at the dangers of it.
03:57Talk to her and maybe your physician about it.
04:00Like, talk to some real professionals.
04:02I mean, you know, we are good doctors, but we do this on the radio.
04:05Yeah.
04:05So, I would say, you know, her worry should be, you know, factored in because she is caring about you.
04:11She might not have worded it right.
04:13But make sure that you, you know, make the right decisions.
04:16But don't just jump on anybody's table because we've seen all of the bad stories about women who have done stuff down south
04:22and end up with household caulkings inserted in them because somebody chose to use that instead of the additional stuff.
04:29Go to somebody that's certified, actually been to school.
04:31Go to somebody who's been to some classes.
04:33Don't show up at just a hotel.
04:35And every doctor got a medical degree on the wall, and you don't know if they got A's or C minuses.
04:40So, you know, you got to pick the right one.
04:42But at least they went to school.
04:43Yeah, but I'm saying, if you got C's, though, I don't know if I necessarily want you to be cutting on me like that.
04:48I need the A's.
04:48So, don't just jump on anybody's table.
04:51Really think about those kind of things.
04:53All right?
04:53Okay.
04:54One from Meredith.
04:56Therapy Thursday.
04:56I will be 40 this year.
04:58I have a nine-year-old son, and I am struggling financially.
05:01In February, my second baby is due, and I'm nervous about having another child.
05:06Any help will be appreciated.
05:08Okay.
05:09You got to start thinking about your future.
05:12I mean, especially, like, right after you give birth, you're not going to be able to do too much because the newborn lifestyle is just flipped upside down, no lack of sleep.
05:19But there is a lot of alone time there where you can start plotting on what your next adventure is going to be or a side hustle.
05:26So, it sounds like you have a job at the moment, but it's not providing you enough.
05:31So, see if you can elevate yourself.
05:34Like, let's plan your future here.
05:35You have two kids now.
05:37You're financially, you know, struggling at the moment.
05:39You know, we got to look towards the future and how we can better ourselves, whether that's a new job or a side hustle or lowering our bills or our payments or, you know, if you can get a loan or something like that from, you know, help from family, anything like that.
05:54So, you got to start planning for your future and getting, I guess, a better job or something on the side.
05:59I'm dating a man that just got out of a marriage a year ago.
06:02He says he does not want a commitment, which he keeps telling me, but is showing me otherwise, LOL.
06:09Now, he says he does want a relationship, which is confusing.
06:12I don't know which way to go with this.
06:14Please help.
06:15Red flag.
06:16Red flag.
06:17Wait, wait.
06:17Before, like, don't answer fast, though.
06:20If this is for all of us, I'm not saying you're wrong, but I'm just saying it could be a red flag, but it also could be just like we talked about somebody hasn't had good practice.
06:27You just got out of a relationship.
06:29So, immediately, the first thing you're going to say is, all right, I don't need to get into a relationship.
06:34But you really don't know how to act other than being in a relationship.
06:37So, that might not, you know what I'm saying?
06:38It might not be a malicious red flag, but a red flag.
06:40Yeah, definitely, you need to be aware that he doesn't know what he wants at the moment.
06:45He's just, he says he wants that.
06:47Now, you got to listen to what he's saying, though.
06:50Like, in the very beginning, even, what, a week or two ago, he was probably saying he wants to explore the other lifestyles of other women and go enjoy his life.
06:58But now, he's getting comfortable with you.
07:00But what happens when he starts feeling that again?
07:02So, you know, keep having that conversation.
07:05I wouldn't trust his opinion whatsoever right now at the moment.
07:08You wouldn't trust him.
07:09No, his opinion right now.
07:10No, no, no, because he's just fresh out of a marriage.
07:12A year?
07:12A year?
07:13Yeah.
07:13It's been a year.
07:14It's been a year.
07:14I mean, the dude is like, he's not.
07:17I wouldn't.
07:17He don't, honestly, if you want to keep it 100, because, I mean, we have to try and do that with this process.
07:22Right.
07:23He wasn't really sure.
07:24I mean, and you got to be real.
07:25He wasn't really sure if he wanted to settle down with you.
07:28Mm-hmm.
07:29That's what it is.
07:30In general.
07:30He wasn't sure.
07:31And you're showing him more, and he's, you know, falling in, but he's still not sold because he's only a year in.
07:39That's what I'm trying to say.
07:40I think his feelings for her have grown because he just went from, I don't want a relationship to like, man, you know what, I think you and me could work.
07:50So, whatever you do, do it slowly.
07:52Yes.
07:53But, you know, kind of give yourself credit that you guys have a good thing going here.
07:57At least that's what it sounds like.
07:58And a good thing without titles.
08:00Man, titles can be the cancer to a relationship.
08:03Yeah.
08:03Just be happy.
08:04You're right.
08:05Don't worry.
08:07You're talking to men that don't like titles, by the way.
08:09Be happy.
08:09I'm talking to two men that don't like titles whatsoever.
08:11I don't like titles.
08:12Why do you like titles?
08:13I don't know at all.
08:13It's the same title town over here.
08:15I'll tell you that.
08:16So, take who's opinion who you are.
08:17I'm just saying.
08:18Meredith loves titles.
08:19I do.
08:20What do we got?
08:21Question for Orlando.
08:22I have four kids and one is not mine.
08:26My fiance and I have been having issues with my oldest, 10 years old, and my three-year-old
08:31saying comments, excuse me, saying comments that he's not your dad to the seven-year-old.
08:37What are some things that I can do to make her feel like she's just like them, even though
08:44she's not biologically my child?
08:46Honestly, I would start with just the verbiage.
08:52I grew up in whatever you want to call it, a mixed family, you know, with what you would
08:58call steps and stuff like that.
09:00But we never referred to each other as that.
09:02Our family was our family.
09:03My sisters and my brother were always my sisters and my brother.
09:07My dad referred to them as his daughters and his sons.
09:10So, you know, I think that speaks volumes when people hear you talk.
09:17When your family hears your family talk about your family, they learn who the family is.
09:23So, I believe that if you remove all of the steps and this is your child, this is my child,
09:30you know, hey, we're all the same, you know, it takes some growing pains to get that done.
09:34But change that narrative, that narrative, and people say that so much now, but this is
09:39a true definition of how the narrative can dictate, you know, a feeling.
09:44People start feeling at home when a home is created and you take away those labels and
09:49just make sure everybody knows that we're all in the same game.
09:52Yep.
09:52So, then that'll go a long way, I think.
09:56Riding as one unit.
09:57Yeah.
09:57I like that.
09:58Yeah.
09:58Okay.
09:59We got one out of the 813.
10:00Orlando, what do I do if I were given bad advice from Davi in regards to my girl to get
10:05with her trainer, aka her real trainer or another man?
10:09Okay.
10:10Well, Davi gave the advice.
10:11Listen, I'm not going to say he gave bad advice.
10:14I'm going to say that, you know, there are some trainers out there who are nutritionists.
10:18Mm-hmm.
10:19Mm-hmm.
10:19And maybe he is out there clocking your food.
10:23Maybe you are out there, you know, put it this way.
10:28Most places wouldn't ask trainers to take their clients away from the facility.
10:35But if you are maybe doing some kind of field trip or something like, hey, let's go to a
10:40restaurant, let me show you what you're supposed to eat to get you the gains that you're getting,
10:45I could see how that works.
10:45I have heard of that before.
10:47Our trainers will suggest that, like, hey, I need to see what you're really ordering.
10:51Yeah.
10:51Taking journals.
10:52Let me show you how to order.
10:53Other examples.
10:54Yes.
10:54Now, if this is a couple times, this sounds like dating.
10:59Right.
11:00Like, I might have to, you know.
11:01Right.
11:02Pop up.
11:02Mm-hmm.
11:03You know, hey, how you doing, Mr. Trainer?
11:05You know, I can punch somebody in the mouth.
11:06But we got one more out, the 561.
11:09It says, so I just found out two of my three favorite radio hosts have Android phones and
11:15not iPhones.
11:16I love them.
11:17And I've been listening to them for four years since I relocated to Tampa from West Palm.
11:21But now that I have found this out, how do I look past this act that they are not team
11:27iPhones and they are Androids?
11:29Because I'm not a bandwagoner, that's why I'm not like, ooh, everything I have to own
11:35is an apple.
11:36So there you go.
11:37I don't join cults, you know.
11:40So, I mean, the fact that you enjoy us on the radio, I love it.
11:43But also, you should be kind of happy that we're not following the norm.
11:48Yeah.
11:48You know, like, everybody, like, everything you would expect of us, you know, you find
11:53out a little nugget.
11:54You're like, oh, wow, I didn't know that.
11:55I didn't know she was a vegetarian.
11:57I didn't know he, you know, did this or whatever.
12:00So our iPhone void is just, you know, another layer of why you like our individuality.
12:06Yeah, we enjoy flexibility, punctuality, and...
12:09And Windows 95.
12:11No, that's not what we use.
12:12You know what?
12:12That's disrespectful.
12:13Exactly.
12:14Freedom.
12:15What you did learn was we are not in the cult that Davi is in.
12:19That's right.
12:19And we are individuals.
12:21We can stand alone.
12:22Uh-huh.
12:23There we go.
12:24All right?
12:24Therapy Thursday's a wrap.
