00:00hi this video we are going to go over how to set up default account and
00:07opportunity teams and how to add them to your accounts and opportunities at the
00:13click of a button so let me just quickly show you and remind you again of what
00:19account and opportunity teams are so if I'm on an account record as I am right
00:25now and go to the related tab I will see a section here that will allow me to add
00:33other members of my team and into this account so that we can collaborate and
00:38view the account details and work on it together we can do the same for
00:44opportunities as well so if I want to click and add team members here I can
00:52add a user define a role for them as well as define levels of access for them
00:58now let's say you have to keep adding the same members over and over again to
01:04your accounts and you can see how very quickly it can sort of take up time for
01:10you and you'd rather want to have it automated or have it do the same thing
01:15and the click of a button rather than going through and filling out those
01:19account details every time you create an account so default account and
01:24opportunity teams come into the picture here now let's say I want to set up a
01:30default account team as well as an opportunity team how do I do that if you
01:36go to the top right of the screen and click on this little avatar you'll see an
01:42option to go into your settings so click on settings from this menu you'll
01:49find advanced user details on the left it should be the first one under my
01:55personal information so I'll click on that and it will quickly bring me to a
02:00screen which looks very similar to this if I scroll to the bottom of this screen I
02:08will see default opportunity team as well as default account team and I have an
02:16option to add to each of those so for the purpose of this example I will start
02:21with a default account team by clicking add just click on the magnifying glass
02:28beside the team member and let's say Luke is going to be part of my default
02:36account team when I select his name I can define the level of access I want the
02:42opportunities to still be private and only to be shared let's say when I add
02:47someone to my opportunity team so I'll keep the opportunity access as private
02:52from my account team member and let's say instead of giving read-only access Luke
02:59will be able to read as well as edit my account so I'll give him read write access
03:05I'll also define a role for Luke and in this case it'll be an account executive
03:11once I set this up I'll click save but keep in mind that there are also a couple of
03:18options for you here if you want to automatically add Luke every time when you
03:24create an account or if you want to update any of your account by adding Luke in
03:32accounts that you haven't so far so let's say I don't want to do that I don't want
03:36to add Luke immediately and automatically however I want to do it at the click of a
03:42button whenever I want to add my default team member to an account so because of
03:47that I'll leave those options as unchecked and click Save next I'll do the
03:55same for my opportunity team if I scroll all the way bottom on the same page of my
04:00settings under advanced user details I'll see default opportunity teams I'll
04:06click add and go through the same process I'll select Luke again and this time
04:16from my opportunity access I'll give him read write access because I need him to
04:21be able to collaborate with me on them
04:25I'll define a role again account executive and also notice I'm gonna leave
04:31both of those options unchecked again because I don't want to associate look
04:36to every opportunity I create rather have the option of doing so at the click of a
04:41button whenever I choose to do so so I'll click Save now let's take a look at how
04:51this looks in practice so if you see my screen I'm currently on an account it's
04:56called mine food and if I go to the related tab now and find account teams
05:03you'll see that I have an option for add default team so we've already set up my
05:09default team with Luke as part of it so right now I can just add default team
05:16click this button and Luke will automatically get added to my account team
05:20with the right permissions that we have defined already if I go to an
05:26opportunity now and go to opportunity team and splits I can do the same right
05:34now I'm only part of this opportunity team however after defining my team I can
05:40just click add default team and Luke will now be added to it I can choose to add
05:46in a split for Luke if I want to by going into opportunity splits but
05:53everything else remains the same so I hope this was helpful and let us know if
