00:00The story behind the song.
00:02Okay.
00:02She's in Texas.
00:03I have to hear a kangaroo.
00:05Yeah.
00:05So when Ella first started in the business, she ran into a guy at what she calls was the most
00:12redneck Topgolf in the world.
00:13Nice.
00:14And so she's, it's in Alabama.
00:16So she's talking to this guy who had a connection to Miranda Lambert.
00:19And he told her this crazy story that Miranda once got pulled over while there was a kangaroo in her
00:24car.
00:25So it turns out that Miranda Lambert did have a pet kangaroo.
00:29Okay.
00:29She would take it on tour with her and it would actually reroute her tour if the city that she
00:34was going to wouldn't allow kangaroos.
00:36Oh, my goodness.
00:37That's how devoted to this kangaroo she was.
00:39So Ella said, I heard that story.
00:42And every time I saw Miranda, I've wanted to ask her about it.
00:45But it just never seemed the right time.
00:47She'd be like, we're on the red carpet.
00:49I'm not going to ask her about this kangaroo.
00:52So finally, the opportunity came up.
00:54And she said it was just me and Miranda.
00:56And I look at her.
00:57I was like, so did you at one point own a kangaroo?
01:00And Miranda said, yeah, absolutely.
01:02I did.
01:02As a matter of fact, I got pulled over one day driving down a dirt road in some country, like
01:09country road.
01:10Kangaroo in the front seat.
01:12Dog in the back seat.
01:13Oh, my goodness.
01:14And she said she gets pulled over.
01:17The police officer is like, what is going on?
01:20This is crazy.
01:21And she said he looked at me and was like, she's from Texas, I can tell.
01:25Oh, boom.
01:27And that's where the song?
01:28That's where the line in the song came from.
01:30She's from Texas.
01:31Because this doesn't happen anywhere else.
01:33Yeah.
01:33Only in Texas.
01:34That's awesome.
01:35So she has to credit Miranda Lambert.
01:37Absolutely.
01:37That's really, really cool.
01:38Love it.
01:39Love it.
01:39Love it.
01:39Love it.
01:40Love it.
