Romaine Sawyers wants accountability from Bristol Rovers squad

00:00Bristol Rovers player Romain Sawyers has asked the rest of his squad to take

00:04accountability for their performances for the Gats as they look to survive

00:08against relegation. The harsh reality is in the situation that we're in and we

00:11need to start taking accountability to a man. I think we've had an open and honest

00:16conversation now it's about trying to react and bounce back because like I

00:21said we've been poor for the last five six games now and although performances

00:25might have been close the next one's at the building and we haven't got no

00:28points on the board so irrelevant how well we think we played or thought we

00:33played the league table doesn't lie so we need to look at ourselves as an

00:37individual and then as a team and we have to do something about it and we're

00:39running out of game so we've got to be quicker rather than sooner rather than

00:43later sorry. Like I said to a man we've just got to take ourselves

00:46accountability could we have run more because we have had more quality could

00:51we have defended both our box better be more clinical in their boxes there's

00:56many of things that we can like point our fingers at but like I said to be all and

01:00then we've got to look at ourselves and take accountability to a man we've got to

01:05realize our position our roles in the team as individuals and then if eleven

01:09working men are working well it will make it better. And finally Bristol City's

01:15George Earthy made clear that he was happy to be on the score sheet as the

01:19Robins drew 1-1 with Queen's Park Rangers.

01:21Yeah I think so I think it is a bit fair I think we struggled to get into the game

01:29first 15-20 minutes but I think we kind of got into it and controlled the next

01:34maybe 50-60 minutes of that but yeah I think it I think it could be fair I think we

01:40maybe could have nicked it if just the basics were a bit better but we're a bit

01:44disappointed in there but I think yeah maybe one one's fair result today yeah

01:48yeah I think yeah when you see them type of goals like the quality of the boys

01:52show yeah we know we've got it we just have to just about executing it really

01:57yeah obviously buzzing to help the team get a goal no I could have had more but

02:01yeah no buzzing to get a goal today yeah I think can't wait to get going again

02:05it's been a busy week tough week I think we've came out done really well from

02:09seven points from the last three so I think yeah obviously looking forward
