00:00Bristol Roar's new head coach Darrell Clark has set out a clear aim for the

00:05gas this coming season. We know the expectations we're not stupid the fans

00:10are not stupid but I also want to make sure that the focus comes to the players

00:13to my staff that we focus on winning the next game because you win the next game

00:17you win the next game you win the next game and you win a certain amount of

00:19games in the season you get promoted it's as simple as that and everybody

00:23wants to see and they're a manager oh we're going to get promoted that's the

00:26game or shouldn't it be everyone managers who sits in the chair say you want to

00:30get promoted you know I don't think I've ever managed the team other than Cheltenham

00:33when we haven't scored in 11 games that aims to stay in the division but I've

00:36never managed the team I thought well I'm just here it would be all right if we

00:39have a mid-table this season I want to get promoted that's that's that always has

00:43to be the the end game I think the circumstances and everything around

00:47the circumstance I mean I was here for obviously seven eight months in the

00:51system then manager for another four four and a half years and with that

00:56with the the relegation the promotions the day out of Wembley and stuff you just

01:00build a good rapport with the fans and they earn your trust because within the

01:03course of that they managed loads of players and the sold players and brought

01:07different players in and the trust then is you earn and Liam Manning's future as

01:13Bristol City boss remains unresolved despite an official approach from Norwich City

01:17it's a brand new experience for a lot of people I think you know I've sat with the

01:22lads to do their meetings today you know Zach, Max, Pringy, some of the guys that have been

01:26here a while have felt the pain that I think a lot of people have felt and you know when you

01:31look at some of the experiences we've had you know Leeds away like a phenomenal experience you

01:35know against such a high level opposition the you know the pressure of that week when we

01:39played you know West Brom and Watford and Sunderland teams around us you know to

01:43then the final day against Preston knowing that you know it was in our hands whether we could do it

01:47there there are brand new experiences for a lot of a lot of the lads and you know

01:51they're ultimately only going to be better players for you know for going through it and you know

01:54hopefully be able to recall it on it again in the future just a huge thank you for from me from

01:59everybody at the club I think a huge thank you um yeah it's not easy being a football fan the same

02:05as it's not easy being a you know a coach a player because the game's about emotions and the roller coaster

02:10we go through on those um but hopefully we've created some special memories from this season
