00:00Bristol City have confirmed that Liam Manning has departed the club for Norwich City following the end of the season.
00:07It will be a positive reflection, I think, on what we did do this season.
00:10I think, you know, a huge progress from last year.
00:13You know, with obviously where we finished, the points, but as much as anything, I think some of the football we played.
00:19I thought, you know, there was real progress in the way we attacked.
00:21You know, last season it was quite difficult, I found at times, to watch us with the ball.
00:26But, you know, the foundations of the culture and, you know, some of the defensive stuff.
00:30It has, you know, really helped us this season to, you know, then build on some of the attacking stuff.
00:33So, yeah, huge progress, I think, in the last 18 months.
00:37Naturally, I think, you know, when I joined the club, you could sense and feel the frustration, you know, with the fans, with, you know, in the build.
00:42I think you could just sense it, I think.
00:45And for me, the only way you change that is by the work you do and, you know, by what the fans turn up and see on a Saturday.
00:50And I think what we've shown, what we've brought is a group of lads and a group of staff that we're all in that give everything.
00:55Good days, bad days, natural, that's part of the game.
00:57But I think, you know, when I look at, you know, the vast majority of the games this season, it's not, we haven't lost games or performed poorly due to attitude, application or competing.
01:06You know, it's quite often been about quality.
01:08And Bristol Rovers head coach, Daryl Clark, has outlined that his squad needs a winning mentality to go up this season.
01:15When you go down and you get relegated, it's not just one thing.
01:19Why you get relegated is numerous things that come into that one big picture because there's no disrespect, there's no way this club should have been relegated, in my opinion, with the resources that was given to it.
01:31But it's happened, you know, and I think that accountability has to be had and the changes have to be made.
01:36It's as simple as that and there'll be more changes.
01:40We were both aligned to understand that I know exactly what a Bristol Rovers player should look like.
01:46I know exactly what the fans expect from a Bristol Rovers player.
01:49And that's where we'll be aligned to make sure that we get those right players in, that perform and honour the football club how we want it to be done.
01:59And that's key.
02:00And so decisions have been probably a bit easier when you've gone down because it needed a blowtorch.

02:10And we need to freshen the place up to get a winning mentality into the club.
