00:00I think that Mrs Bisesa has done quite a lot in the last couple of weeks and in
00:07order to bring the UNC back on centre stage as a viable political
00:12alternative to the PNM. And I think she's doing so by setting up a new look
00:20UNC by way of candidates. Several of the UNC's MPs will no longer be
00:26representing their constituencies in the April 28th general election. Among the
00:32new faces are former senior superintendent Roger Alexander. On Monday
00:37Dr. Rambachan told TV6 it's part of the move to build a stronger national
00:44security apparatus. I think that by bringing Roger Alexander into the
00:51fray together with former superintendent of police Dularichan, Johnny
00:58Abraham and others, I think what she's beginning to signal is that she's going
01:04to put forth a very strong, strong team in order to deal with the criminal
01:11situation in the country. And despite numerous resignations from within the
01:16party, Rambachan believes all is well. But I'm not seeing that kind of
01:21instability in the UNC. What I'm seeing is a fallout of people who are not
01:26happy with the fact that they have not gotten what what they wanted or they
01:30may not have found the kind of support they wanted for their candidate. Last
01:34week the opposition leader said the resignations will have no impact on the
01:39party's election campaign, just like the previous ones did not. Nicole M. Romany,
