00:00Some 90 summonses were issued for various traffic offences following an integrated operation

00:08dubbed OPS Samseng Jalanan in Penang.

00:12Central Seberang Parai OCPD Assistant Commissioner Helmy Aris said the operation was conducted

00:18from 10pm on Saturday to 7am on Sunday at the 131st to 135th kilometre northbound of

00:27the North-South Expressway.

00:29He said police screened 200 motorcyclists with the seizure of 30 motorcycles.

00:35Officers from the Department of Environment also conducted sound tests on motorcycles,

00:40issuing four compounds for excessive noise.

00:44Police also arrested five individuals for failing drug tests.

00:48Authorities said the public should comply with traffic regulations and refrain from

00:53being involved in illegal racing.
