Over 100 traffic summonses issued in Bukit Bintang joint ops

More than 100 traffic summonses were issued to road users for illegal parking and traffic obstruction during a joint operation in the Bukit Bintang area.  Six vehicles were towed for obstructing traffic while 76 summonses were issued to motorcyclists for various offences, including driving without a license, expired licenses, and missing side mirrors. 00:07JSPT resulted in the issuance of over 100 traffic summonses in the Bukit Bintang area.

00:15The operation, conducted from 10pm on Saturday to 1am on Sunday, focused on addressing illegal

00:22parking and traffic obstruction.

00:24Kuala Lumpur Deputy Police Chief Deputy Commissioner Datuk Azri Akmar Ayob reported that a total

00:29of 119 summonses were issued during the operation.

00:34Six vehicles were towed for obstructing traffic.

00:38Additionally, motorcycle riders received 76 summonses for various violations including

00:44driving without a licence, expired licences, missing side mirrors, fancy number plates

00:51and expired road tax.

00:54The Road Transport Department, JPJ, issued 60 summonses while Kuala Lumpur City Hall,

01:01DBKL, issued 121 summonses during the operation.

01:06The effort involved 12 officers and 79 personnel, covering several roads including Jalan Bukit

01:13Bintang, Jalan Imbi, Jalan Ceylon, Jalan Cangkat, Jalan Berangan, Jalan Walter Grania and Jalan

01:20Tengkat Tongsin.

01:22DCP Azri Akmar emphasised the importance of adhering to traffic regulations, especially

01:28in Bukit Bintang, where illegal parking has caused significant congestion, particularly

01:33on weekends.

01:34He assured the public that similar operations would continue to ensure compliance and smoother

01:39traffic conditions.
