00:00Here's Deterministic, Deterministic, what a perfect name, gets up in the shadow of the

00:12wire.

00:13We found Deterministic in book two at Keeneland.

00:17I remember him being a very beautiful bodied, well balanced, athletic looking colt.

00:23Everything just comes very naturally to him, was a pleasure to have in the barn, and he's

00:27continued to do so since he's been shipped up here to Saratoga.

00:31He does not look like a two-year-old, he looks like an older horse when you're around him.

00:34He trains like an older horse, he looks like an older horse, he's just the most beautiful

00:38mover.

00:39He barely touched the ground, he's like a dancer.

00:42We always thought he was training very forwardly, and we got excited as we became more aggressive

00:47because the work got better and better, and I thought he ran very well, he was very professional,

00:53and the jockey, Rosario, was aggressive to put him back into the race, which he did,

00:59straight away he was back in the race, even with the big sweeping move he was able to

01:03get there at the end, which was pretty exciting.

01:07So we expected him to do well, but it was a very tough field, very competitive, so the

01:10fact that he was able to just pull it off, it was amazing.

01:15I've seen Liam's map many, many times, not on Lanes End, but he was trained by Todd Pletcher

01:20as you know, and I knew him very well as a racehorse.

01:24I've been following him as a stallion, and I'm actually pretty lucky with him this year.

01:29We've got Deterministic as you know, but we also have a filly called Rose Fodebra, one

01:33of the greatest stakes in Saratoga.

01:35She's a very fast filly, turf sprinter, that I like very much, and I also have another

01:42stakes filly called Silverskillet.

01:45With Deterministic, along with the obvious physical similarities, I feel like their dispositions

01:58are very similar.

02:00They were both very smart, just exude class, you know, they have that sort of smart look

02:07about them.

02:09When we purchased Liam's map for Mr. and Mrs. Viola, he was the same beautiful, athletic

02:14whole package.

02:15He was a special from the get-go.

02:17We love looking at his babies.

02:19It's been fun to watch them do so well.
