00:00A lot came in highly regarded from when he got here, you know, he's kind of a laid-back,

00:13unassuming kind of colt that just really went about his business and caught on to everything

00:19really quickly.

00:20We were encouraged going into his debut that he would run well, but we also thought that

00:25he's the kind of colt that would improve with experience and distance.

00:30I was really, really pleased with his first out.

00:34He didn't break super sharp, and like a lot of first-timers, when he got the kickback,

00:38he started climbing, but once he finally leveled off in the stretch, he really finished strongly

00:44against some good colts and galloped out great.

00:46Came out of the race really well and had two super breezes leading into the mile race.

00:53We were excited about running him.

00:54We felt like he was going to make a move forward, and he actually exceeded expectations.

01:00The mile shoot can be a little bit tricky here, so we wanted to establish some position

01:04leaving there.

01:05He was actually a little more forward than I thought he would be, but as I was watching

01:09the race live, when I looked over at the head-on view, you could see that he was traveling

01:15just really, really comfortably, really easily.

01:17Jose was sitting quietly on him and really just biding his time until three-eighths bull,

01:24he started asking to pick it up a little bit, and he responded right away.

01:28Locked, and Jose Ortiz pouring it on, running aggressively through the stretch to win by

01:34seven easy length.

01:36He's a really, really nice colt to be around, great disposition, handled everything professionally

01:40again.

01:41Came out of it well and talked to Aaron Wellman a little bit yesterday, and I'd say we're

01:46leaning towards the breeder's futurity next, and I think he'll like the two turns.

01:51The gun runners that we have are exceptional, had a nice Philly win stretching out to a

01:56mile.

01:57Life talk, of course, locked, and he's a tremendous stallion.

02:01He seems versatile.

02:04Last week with Echo Zulu and Gunite winning grade one sprint races at Saratoga, and also

02:09get you a classic type horse, so he's an incredible sire.
