The Royal Slipper being by Uncle Mo, she has the physical attributes that kind of draw
00:13
me to that sire's progeny.
00:17
They're very, very quick and also highly intelligent horses.
00:22
This filly came down from Dave Scanlon, he did a great job with her, told me she had
00:28
some little antics to her and gave me a pretty good insight as to what we're going to have
00:32
to start dealing with.
00:34
She just came right around and did everything great and just took a little time mentally
00:40
to come around.
00:41
Physically, she's a big, imposing, fast-looking, sprinter-type filly.
00:45
This filly is, you know, to look at her, if she was walking around across the street over
00:50
there at the sales, it would certainly draw a lot of attention.
00:53
She's got all the physical attributes of something, especially being by her sire, that you would
01:00
be drawn to.
01:01
There'd be a lot of people following her into the ring.
01:03
We're looking forward to this race and was very concerned about the one hole.
01:09
Sometimes you get off a step slow, especially with a filly as fast as she looked at going
01:13
into the race, it was like it could be a disaster, but Johnny Velasquez broke on top and away
01:19
he went.
01:20
Well, she kind of scooted away from there early to where Johnny was able to give her
01:23
a breather, the better part of the race, to where he just kind of sat on her.
01:26
When he turned for home, he kind of just niggled at her a little bit and off she went again
01:30
and he just sat there.
01:32
It's exactly what you want to see for a first-time starter.
01:35
You just want everything to go right the first part, and then the last part, she had a really
01:40
easy win, which sort of helps you moving forward.
01:45
We're looking at a few races.
01:46
We're looking at a race down in Del Mar that's 7.8s, which is certainly within her realm
01:51
of distance capabilities.
01:55
As she showed in her race, we're really looking forward to this filly.
01:58
She's got a big future.
02:00
The Oklahomas are very smart, highly intelligent horses.
02:03
They certainly are fast, that's something that attracts me to them.
02:07
So this filly has everything that I'd look for in a racehorse.
