Do you live at home with your parents or would you let your adult children live at home with you?

00:00It's not like the days gone by where people would move at 18, 19, 20, 21 and go their

00:05own way. It was a lot more doable back then. It's a lot harder now. So people are staying

00:08with their parents, even though they may not want to, they're now quite seeing the benefit.

00:14We have three children, 28, 21 and 20, all left home, all have come back, two have left

00:21again literally to be able to save, to buy that property that they're looking for. It's

00:27really difficult. I think there maybe needs to be more done. I think the shared ownership

00:31thing has been really helpful for them specifically, but it's difficult when you have someone at

00:36home, right? You kind of want to do your own thing, but also you have to be considerate

00:39of them. So it's finding that fine balance and always make them pay something towards

00:45your mortgage, charge them board, otherwise they don't appreciate money.

00:50Just looking at the numbers, the math, there's a math in order to get a house at late twenties

00:54or early thirties even these days. So I think it's normal. It's pretty normal now.
