00:00My oldest one's 35. He's just had to go to Australia for the year on that year visa to get
00:07the money together to get a house.
00:09Well, just a deposit alone. Also, he's been working for the past 15, 20 years, saving everything he can and
00:17he still can't afford to it.
00:18So he's gone to the extent of going to Australia and he still can't be guaranteed that he's going to
00:24get a place.
00:25I've still got all four adult children living at home and the youngest is 24.
00:32They can't even afford to rent, let alone buy. And when I was that age, it was a lot easier.
00:40I live with my parents at the moment, but obviously soon I'm going to be married and I've got my
00:45own house already.
00:46So, yeah, but obviously my dad helped me through that.
00:49The more, if you own a home, like in a year's time, the price of the house will go up.
00:56And I think the government could put a support system in to get the percentage down to really help you
01:04out with funds to buy a house as well.
01:06I'm currently trying to look for a house to own, but doing it on my own is quite hard because
01:12you've got the deposit to pay,
01:13which is kind of 5% to 10%, which is already a lot.
01:19And then obviously the solicitor fees and the other fees and then finding a bank to get the mortgage,
01:26which is hard because they don't really want to mortgage young people.
01:29Be careful.
