00:00This one a lot of controversy in this one as it ends in a majority draw

00:04That's not the controversy. We'll get into that in a second majority draw

00:24A bad call by the ref in my opinion. Let's start from the beginning round one

00:28You had roach coming forward a lot. Not a lot of action early in this fight

00:32Toronto davis usually a guy's a slow starter likes to feel out like, you know, get his opponent's

00:36Timing likes to figure things out and throws, you know big power later on. He's not a volume puncher

00:41He's a power puncher even at this smaller weight class. So roach is coming forward early not throwing a ton

00:46I mean nobody threw in the first round. There was four combined body punches that landed three by roach. He gets that round, you know

00:52Davis comes forward a little bit more in the second round roach keeps coming forward

00:55But davis throwing more in the second round getting a little bit more into it. I thought he got that round

01:03Was a little bit more towards him with big punches

01:04Although if you look at the compu box numbers

01:06It looks like roach actually landed more so I could have been wrong on that third round

01:10These rounds were going back and forth early on. I thought davis had a good third round

01:13He started coming forward started using the jab against roach roach using his jab, but davis getting bigger shots

01:19And I thought roach got a good left hook later on but still i've landed that one towards davis four. I gave to roach

01:25Good shots off the break, especially out of the clinch five both guys throwing back and forth

01:29We're starting to get some big heavy shots thrown by both guys. I gave that one to davis

01:33So he's slightly up by one now six. I gave to davis now. He's up by two

01:38Seven I gave to roach back down to one eight. I thought for roach back down to tide

01:43Nine is where it all is going to be, you know decided because as we said those who split draw later in the round later

01:49The fight, you know, I think a lot of people gave dave davis number 10

01:5211 12, I think should have gone to roach

01:54Although if you look at the official judges score cards, one of them gave it to davis

01:58I think it was that was a judge who uh scored in the favor of davis

02:01nine is the big one because

02:04Nine is the one where roach is learning some good shots

02:07Still coming forward with just over a minute left. There's a big right then an uppercut and then all of a sudden

02:15You have tank davis take a knee

02:17It wasn't right away off that right hand that davis took the knee

02:19But it was a little delayed and then like two or three seconds all of a sudden dank

02:22Davis takes a knee then gets up and runs over to the corner puts his head through the ropes

02:27And has his corner wipe his face with the towel

02:30Now when you get to after the fight he talks about how he just had his hair done two days ago

02:34A lot of these fighters, of course, you know when you're gonna get certain hairstyles keep it out of your face

02:37You get done right before the fight

02:39So still in there says they put some hair grease in there

02:42And as the fight went on and so he started sweating more that grease got into his eyes

02:46And it was an eye burning that made him stop for a second not a punch by roach

02:51But guess what? This is fighting. There's no time outs. So to me you take a knee

02:55I don't care if it's because the guy punched you or because

02:59Mosquito got in your eye or up your nose or in your ear if you stop the fight

03:03That's a knockdown for the other guy. That's stoppage means you lose a point and they gain an advantage

03:08The referee didn't call it that way

03:10He told him afterwards after he gets his face wiped he comes back in he says hey, listen

03:13If you go down on a knee, you know that that should be ruled a knockdown that rule in a knockdown

03:18But he doesn't rule in a knockdown. So because of that not only does roach not get the 10-8 round he deserved

03:23But some of the judges two of them including one of the ones that had it tied

03:28Scored it for tank davis 10-9

03:30Now I think you're crazy as a judge

03:32Even if they don't rule a knockdown to give a guy a winning round

03:34When he took a knee took a timeout in the middle around got his face wiped off illegally

03:38There's no way he should win that round. Even if the ref is blind enough to not call that a knockdown

03:44But that is what happens

03:45So because of that if you look at the scorecards

03:48the one that goes for tank davis if that's flipped from a 10-9 for him to a 10-8 for

03:53Roach, that means roach wins the fight

03:56The one who scored it a draw but gave that round to tank davis

03:59If you flip that that's a two round a two-point win for roach and the one who called it a draw

04:04But gave that round to roach. That's still an extra point that would get him to win

04:08So he would have won unanimously on all three judges scorecards if the ref knew what he was doing and called that a knockdown

04:14Because I don't care if the guy threw a punch

04:17Or did not if you go to a knee and it's not guys getting tied up with their feet

04:21It's not if you're not ruling it a slip

04:23That's a knockdown. That's a 10-8 round for roach and he should have been the champion

04:27He got robbed in that fight and there's you know, of course calls for a rematch. There's a clause in the contract

04:32We'll see if tank davis lives up to it

04:34There were big plans for him to face stevenson after this fight, but

04:38Considering he didn't actually win it either by you know logic or the scorecards. I don't think you'd give him that fight

04:44I think you have to rematch this fight against roach and no excuses next time and whoever wins that one

04:49Then they can go fight stevenson
