00:00In the UFC Fight Night 270 headliner at London's O2 Arena,
00:05Movsar Ivloyev pushed his record out to 20-0 by handing Lerone Murphy the first loss of his career.
00:11While it was a contentious majority decision, the division's top contender insists his title fight is long overdue.
00:20While Ivloyev clearly took the final two rounds, the first three were debatable,
00:25and a point deduction in the fourth for an accidental groin strike made the decision raise more than a few
00:29eyebrows.
00:30Even so, he backed his tenth straight decision win with the company.
00:38Maybe even if I can't finish, if I show my striking skills,
00:42maybe it will be the key to getting the title shot, said the grappling specialist.
00:46This win was against a good striker in his land, an undefeated guy, so what else?
00:51Let's fight for the title.
00:54The featherweight king, Alexander Volkanovsky, is currently without a dance partner,
00:58and he liked the match-up.
00:59In fact, he practically invited Ivloyev to return to his wrestling,
01:03just to see how that plays out against the champ.
01:07I felt like he didn't want to push the wrestling.
01:10He wanted to stand up and maybe prove himself on the feet, Volkanovsky said after the win.
01:15I want him to try everything he can.
01:17I want him to try to take me down because I won't let it happen,
01:20and he'll be forced to fight on the feet because of my takedown defense.
01:26Performance of the night bonuses went to Iwo Baranowski and Chanel Dyer for their TKO finishes.
01:32Fight of the night honors went to Mason Jones versus Axel Solo.
01:38Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn's acquisition of UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall for Matchroom's new talent agency
01:44could turn out to be a win for everyone.
01:47Well, maybe not everyone.
01:49Not even close.
01:50The UFC CEO and now Hearn's chief rival, Dana White, isn't convinced it's a good idea.
01:55He's not even sure what Hearn was thinking.
02:00Eddie was coming out saying,
02:02Ah, I look forward to competing with Zupa Boxing,
02:04and there's things that they don't know about boxing that they're going to learn.
02:08And then two weeks later, he's an MMA manager.
02:10I don't get the move.
02:13Since linking up with Aspinall,
02:15the British promoter hasn't been shy about UFC fighter pain.
02:19And after a matchroom boxing event over the weekend,
02:22he weighed in on one of MMA's hottest talking points,
02:25John Jones being left off the White House card.
02:29Jones revealed he was offered no more than $15 million,
02:32half of the $30 million he reportedly declined to face Aspinall,
02:36to fight on the UFC's Freedom 250 card this June.
02:40In response, Hearn claimed,
02:42John Jones and Tom Aspinall are under contract.
02:45If they weren't under contract,
02:47I could do Aspinall against John Jones,
02:49and I'll pay them double what the UFC offered them, probably.
02:54If Hearn is telling the truth,
02:55and saying he could get Jones and Aspinall paydays closer to $50 million per fight,
03:00then choosing not to re-sign with the UFC
03:02may start to look very appealing for champions nearing the end of their contracts.
03:09And over in Madrid with the PFL,
03:11the middleweight champion, Costello Van Stienis,
03:13made it 2 from 2 in his rivalry against Fabian Edwards to defend the title.
