00:00So how excited are you to get back in there and punch someone that you don't like?
00:06You know what I mean?
00:06As opposed to your sparring partners.
00:08You have a target now instead of like, all right, another personal, but now I'm trying
00:14to hurt you as opposed to sparring because it's been a little while, man, since you've
00:18been in there.
00:19Yeah, yeah.
00:19It's been about six months.
00:20I love to be active, so I'm super happy that the company is keeping me active.
00:26If it was up to me, I'd fight every quarter, four times a year.
00:30But it's looking like maybe three times this year.
00:32I'm very blessed to open up another state.
00:35I've opened up Atlanta, Michigan, Virginia.
00:40You know, I've been on these debuting events for a long time now.
00:43So to open up Tennessee, you know, a state over for me, it's a blessing.
00:48Yeah, super cool.
00:49So as you stated, you've fought in these different areas.
00:53What's it like seeing like BKFC people react to this?
00:56I saw Darren Till talking about this after his debut the other day, and he said, I don't
01:01know, this just feels like the place to be right now, right?
01:04And I know, listen, UFC have big cards, and you know, it's the UFC and stuff, but the buzz
01:10in the fight world, like I told people, like, it seems like it's where the cool kids are
01:14like, you know what I mean, like a cafeteria, Nate, you know what I'm saying?
01:17It's like, yeah, the cool kids are the BKFC guys on that side.
01:20Got the wrestlers and stuff over there.
01:22But the real fighters are behind the school over there.
01:25You guys are the cool kids at MMA now, if you know what I'm saying.
01:29Yeah, 100%, man.
01:30I think, you know, if there was ever a time to be a BKFC athlete and also to be a
01:35top
01:35contender, it's right now, you know, and I think, you know, I came into the company,
01:41I went 2-0 before Conor McGregor bought shares in the company or partial partnership and ownership.
01:47And, I mean, ever since then, I mean, it was already growing before, and now it's just
01:50like they strapped a rocket to this thing, and it's going to the moon.
01:53It is, it's insane.
01:55I mean, every event, you know, they're opening a new country, a new state, you know, pretty
02:00much legal everywhere here in the United States.
02:02I mean, they're going to the Republic.
02:04You're going to Uruguay.
02:05Yeah.
02:06Uruguay, Spain.
02:07I think they got like 11 cars already announced for the year, and they're announcing like one
02:11every show or two every show.
02:13So, it's cool.
02:14They just legalized it in Australia.
02:17They were there.
02:18Then, last week, I saw they were going to, you know, Georgia.
02:22Not Atlanta, Georgia.
02:23Like, Georgia.
02:24Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
02:25Man, it's just, it's awesome, man.
02:27Things growing like a virus, dude.
02:28So, I'm happy to be a part of it and happy to be in the talks for the title contention.
02:34Yeah, so you're right there right now.
02:37And it's all, listen, every fight is a fighter's, you know, is the biggest fight of your career.
02:42And every fighter is dangerous.
02:45So, you're fighting a dangerous opponent right now that's looking to make a name for himself.
02:49What do you know about Trey Martin?
02:50What do you see about his game?
02:53Man, he is, I mean, I think you hit the nail on the head.
02:55He is, he is hungry and he kind of wants what I have, if that makes sense.
03:00And that's a very, very, it could be a very dangerous opponent to deal with, you know.
03:06They, essentially, in their head, they have nothing to lose, you know.
03:09So, I love the pressure.
03:11I love, I love everything about this game, man.
03:15Like you said, it's where the cool kids are.
03:17It is so exciting.
03:18It's so fun.
03:19It's so scary that it makes it all that much better.
03:23I mean, I'm going up against a guy that's had, you know, I think he's like 20-something professional fights.
03:30You know, this is my, you know, I'm pretty fresh.
03:32I'm like that new wave of BKFC fighters that's really starting my professional career here in BKFC.
03:38You know, I've had six professional fights overall, five of them being in BKFC.
03:41So, you know, I'm essentially pretty green to the professional fighting game.
03:46You know, he has more than four times the amount of experience than me.
03:49But I just think in this game, how we're talking about in BKFC itself, there's nobody better.
03:55You know what's wild about this, though?
03:57And I've spoken to different fighters, like Justin Iberola, I was talking.
04:01He said he never threw a punch in his life, like, outside of BKFC.
04:04He was never in a fight before.
04:07And Kai, same thing.
04:09And Kai said I had a big mouth when I was a kid and stuff, but I wasn't really a
04:12big fighter.
04:13I wrestled and stuff.
04:14Like, and there's a lot of guys yourself that are at the top of this game that, you know, you
04:21have a new approach to the fight game.
04:23You know what I mean?
04:23You don't want to get tagged.
04:25A lot of the older guys, you know what I'm saying?
04:26A lot of these older guys wear it as a badge of honor, Nate.
04:28You know what I mean?
04:29Oh, I don't mind getting hit.
04:31Seems like you younger dudes are smarter.
04:33Like, no, no.
04:34I'm not going to get hit if I don't have to.
04:36No, man.
04:36They can keep that mindset.
04:38Actually, you know what?
04:39I think you're going to have that mindset.
04:40Go ahead and match the fuck with me.
04:41You train with some of these guys, I'm sure, right?
04:43Yeah.
04:44I do.
04:44Yeah.
04:45Yeah.
04:45I love the guys that say, you all get hit and keep going.
04:48Man, my coach says the same thing every single time.
04:50He says, we are going to go into the fight and we're going to leave the same way we got
04:55there.
04:55And, you know, that's the game.
04:56Yeah, you want to look the same, huh?
04:58Yeah.
04:58You want to look the same, man.
04:59And, you know, in bare knuckle, you have to come to terms with, all right, I fundamentally might look very
05:07different after this fight.
05:08You know what I mean?
05:09A jab where you zig when you should have zagged and a jab splits you open, man.
05:14So I think that's what makes this game so fun.
05:16I think that's why it's so, you know, it's really, really relatable to that, to the fans, to all the
05:22people in the arena, because majority of people, they've been punched in the face or they've punched someone in the
05:27face.
05:27You know, with MMA, sometimes it's hard to follow with people in the crowd if they don't know jiu-jitsu
05:33or wrestling.
05:34So this is one of the most fan-friendly, exciting events that I've ever been to or been a part
05:40of.
05:40So I cannot wait to bring it to Tennessee.
