00:09Ruiz underscored that ensuring timely and accessible information for all Filipinos is his top priority,
00:15aiming to empower the public with knowledge and a deeper understanding of current events.
00:20As the new secretary, he pledged to implement government programs and projects effectively,
00:25particularly those designed to assist the country's poorest Filipinos,
00:29and vowed to combat the spread of misinformation and fake news.
00:33He was officially sworn in as the fourth PCO Secretary under the Marcus Jr. administration,
00:38succeeding Cesar Chavez. With over two decades of experience as a journalist and anchor,
00:43Ruiz has also worked as a political and media consultant.
