00:12It is important that we appreciate the fact that the Chianti-Bego Police Service is seeking
00:18to strengthen its security posture.
00:22He says that his first week in office has been one of putting infrastructure in place
00:26for operations, and he was humbled by the public's support.
00:30To that end, he said he would be visiting Tobago very shortly and speaking to law enforcement
00:36on the sister island.
00:38He also said that he hoped to speak with the Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly,
00:43Farley Augustin, as well as personnel from the Tobago Chamber of Commerce.
00:47And it is my intention to continue to meet with other internal and external stakeholders
00:54to ensure that we can work together to ensure that we have a greater and better TTPS and
01:01police and law enforcement presence on the roadways.
01:05He also reiterated his calls for the public to work with the TTPS in the fight against
01:10crime.
01:11Crime is everybody's business, so therefore, as we work together and sit in, we will see
01:17a reduction in crime, even as we seek to put all the necessary strategies in place
01:25for a better Trinidad and Tobago.
01:27He said that the TTPS would be going after gang elements in all forms, even those that
01:32operate within state institutions.
