00:28TTPS will be deploying law enforcement drones throughout the country with a
00:33significant saturation over Port of Spain and environs to assist with safety
00:38and security for the Carnival period with members of the air support unit
00:43paying special attention to the errant use of drones. The Civil Aviation
00:49Authority notes that historically the Carnival period has been known to have a
00:54proliferation of unauthorized zone activity within no-fly zones which
01:00creates serious hazards with respect to potential injury to persons and damage
01:05to property. It explains that this type of situation also utilizes a lot of
01:10redirected human and technical resources when law enforcement has to respond to
01:16unauthorized activity and hinder efforts to provide constant safety and security
01:22for the public. Candy Hill, TV6 News.
