00:00Harlem specifically, on-screen and off-screen, I've learned so much about

00:06sisterhood and the support system of something that's unconditional. They are

00:11there with you through the good, the bad, and the ugly. They hold you accountable

00:16but will always be there to hold your hair back if you got a cry or shoulder

00:20to lean on, and I didn't realize how unconditional sisterhood could be until

00:26watching the show. We have the most fun together. It really means a lot to be

00:31able to create art with other women of color, strong, powerful, beautiful black

00:36women who just want to inspire the world with their art, so it's a blessing.

00:42Harlem has shown me that sisterhood is healing and essential, especially black

00:49sisterhood. We need each other to thrive. We need each other to be our sounding

00:55boards, to be the backbones. It has taught me so much about loving other women in

01:02sisterhood. It's taught me so much about how much sisterhood being on screen can

01:08help heal those who are watching as well. We definitely need the power of

01:12sisterhood, and it's just shown me that it's very necessary, that we really,

01:16really need it. We need each other. We need our village. We need our tribes. It

01:19made me feel like I wasn't alone in my journey. I hope that we

01:24touch lives in that way. When I talk to people, one thing that I can feel is that

01:28they, you know, they really, I feel like they empathize with, you know, where his

01:32heart is at. You know, this is someone who loves deeply, you know, he's in love

01:37with Camille even as their relationship continues to redefine itself, and you

01:42also see how fiercely he fights for what it is that he, you know, wants to

01:47do in life, so I think that's something that they can all connect with. It has

01:50been truly delightful to wake up in the morning and to go to set with girls that

01:56that you really do genuinely love, you know. I, we talk all the time, we text all

02:02the time, you know, I'm always busting in their dressing rooms like, what y'all

02:05doing up in here, you know? I think what I missed most about being a part of

02:10Harlem is being able to go down to the corner store, get that chopped cheese,

02:13dawg. And to arrive on set on that first day when we begin a new season, it's

02:21always so special. The table read is so special, and I remember once we were at a

02:26dinner, and we said, you know, Tracy, you chose all of the oddballs, people who

02:33have been oddballs in other situations, and we've come together, and so we have

02:38an innate understanding of each other, and that is just unmatched.

02:43What you can expect for, or in this next, this next season of Harlem is, you know,

02:50it's really just that joy at the end of the tunnel. You know, I can speak a little

02:53bit in terms of my own experience with Ian, like, you know, we see, we see what it

02:58is that he wants, we see some of the obstacles that are standing in the way,

03:01and in this third season, you get to see, you know, what it's like when you go

03:06through some of those obstacles, and actually see the light that's at the end

03:09of the tunnel, and be able to experience some of that joy with them.

03:11As a queer black woman, I hope that Ty can continue to be a joy and uplift the

03:17queer community by just being authentic, by showing other sides, by breaking the

03:23boundaries in the boxes, by showing us that, like, queerness doesn't look one way

03:29or the other. And I just hope that she continues to show other queer women that

03:34you can slay all day. Can't nobody check you, boo.

03:37I hope that the show's legacy is long-lasting. I hope that it provides

03:42representation like the ones I needed so much as a young black girl growing up.

03:47I remember how amazing it was to see Maxine Shaw and Khadijah James on screen,

03:52and so I hope that there's another generation of black women who see the

03:57show and feel inspired to create their own, or pursue artistry, because now they

04:03can see that there's someone like them who made it, and also to really form

04:07friendship groups that are long-lasting and beautiful as well.

04:10I think what I'll miss most about my experience here is, again, just that

04:14sense of family. I'm an only child, and in a strange way, I always wanted a

04:19sister or some sisters, you know? And I think what I'll miss the most is just

04:25having that family environment full of sisters that really got my back, and

04:29that I can show up and have they back.

04:30I've been blessed with friendships I didn't know existed. I've learned about

04:36self-forgiveness. I've learned about kindness, support, love, grace, and

04:44inclusion from these women. So yeah, y'all. I'm gonna miss my girls.
