00:05Growing up in Springfield, it's obviously the city of first and the things that a lot of kids
00:09like myself growing up got attached to was basketball. And you get those rare opportunities
00:13to go to Camp Springfield College or go to the Hall of Fame every now and then and just brought
00:17joy to the kids. Amazing 2026 class. Obviously the weekend has been outstanding. We got
00:29old legends here. We got new ones walking in. The energy has been amazing.
00:43When I got the call from the Hall of Fame about me getting inducted into the Hall of Fame, I
00:47was
00:48ecstatic. I was really out of my comfort zone. I didn't know what to think. My entire career
00:53from when I was a kid flashed before my eyes.
01:03Massimo is one-on-one. It's the most popular sport growing right now in America. And Springfield,
01:08we created it. It started here. So there's a buzz around the city every time there's a
01:12enshrinement weekend. Me being in the NBA, now I get to see players and staff that I work with
01:16being enshrined and just share that moment with them. So we want to make sure we're doing something
01:20on our part to make sure we're pouring into the community while the nation's coming to
01:23Springfield and enjoy it and learning what Springfield is really all about.
01:32The wisdom I would pass down is like keep the main thing the main thing. Basketball is an amazing
01:37sport. You dedicate yourself to it.
01:42For me, I think it's just about growing the game, continuing to grow from a different vantage
01:48point and continue to inspire others to understand that basketball can change your life.
